Professional Writing
Professional writing
is performed in a formal business or professional
setting, though this is not always the case. Ths type
of writing is done in a format which frequently
contains notations to research or proof of original
research in addition to the descriptions in the body
of the writing. Examples of professional writing
would contain: resumes, curricula vitae, scientific
or legal or medical journal articles, master's theses
and doctoral dissertations, web pages and
governmental documents. Those who pursue careers in
professional writing often pursue careers in:
- technical and
scientific communication jobs,
- public relations,
- authoring web
content,
- information
design and business plans,
- writing and
editing, translations,
- journalism, and
- education.
