Journalistic Writing

An easily recognizable
practice in which Journalistic writing is most often
used is in keeping a diary. Today, journalistic
writing is most identified with reporting the news
either in print or in a radio or television
broadcast. Journalistic skills can be taught,
learned, and developed. Unlike fiction or
professional writing, journalistic writing most
closely resembles spoken dialogue. It often emulates
the colloquial speach of the area in which its target
audience resides, even if that speech has incorrect
sentence structure and is colored with local grammar
and dialect.
