harry is, obviously, the hero of the "harry potter" books. he is very brave as well as famous. but he never lets fame go to his head, and as we pretty much read the books in his eye~view, we can see that he is actually very humble. his best friend is ron weasley, and his other best friend is hermione granger.

harry was orphaned as a child when voldemort killed his parents. in an attempt to kill harry, voldemort was stopped by an amazing power~ the power of love. voldemort was reduced to practically nothing, while harry was instantly a star.

to avoid harry having a big head, dumbledore sent harry to live with his mother's sister and her family~ the dursleys. the dursleys treated harry like an inferior being, with huge clothes, little food, and cramped living quarters. this went on until harry's 11th birthday, when he was visited by hagrid. he was then taken to hogwarts, where he was once again famous, but no longer considered such an immortal hero~ no homework passes for this wizard!

indeed, our wonder boy is tortured throughout the school year by draco malfoy, professor snape, various slytherins, and, of course, the ever~present voldemort. also, fame is bothersome to harry occasionally, what with people like colin creevey, professor lockhart, and being bugged (litterally!) by rita skeeter.

nonetheless, harry continues to radiate charm, humor, and, i am sure, good looks :D that make him practically irresistable to all of his readers.

favorite harry potter moments:

book.1~ hmm, i guess when he is still at the dursleys. he seems so-> little now!

book.2~ when harry is pretending to do magic at the dursleys. (all these dursley moments, no?)

book.3~ when harry thinks he will live with sirius, that is so-> sad! also, when he wins the quidditch cup! ((almost typed quidditch world cup...looking a little too far into the future, eh?))

book.4~ when he threw the button at ron; during all of the tasks (when he is nervous); when he is in the prefects bathroom. :D
