hermione is harry and ron's best friend and the logical member of the group. she is the smartest girl at hogwarts and tries very hard.

i used to kinda like hermione but book 4 made me love her alot more. i thought it was so great how she would walk by the slytherins who were making fun of her and harry, and she would just hold her head up and say "just ignore it...". it made me feel bad for her but realize what a great person she is, and how much she is like percy (lol) in the case that they are both dignified!

in ss, hermione became friends with harry and ron when they saved her from a troll in the girl's bathroom! hermione's cunning mind helped harry greatly when she solved the logic puzzle that got harry to quirrell and voldemort.

hermione went to investigator to victim in CoS when the basilik attacked her by looking into her mirror. she was petrified for days and thus missed harry and ron's ordeal in the chamber. also in book two, hermione got a huuge crush on professor lockhart, so she never even noticed he was a fake! probably the one time her brains really left her :D .

hermione was a major part of the plot in PoA, although not always good~ her and ron's fight took up a lot of the book. since she didn't want to be with harry and ron, she spent a lot of time working on buckbeak's trial. soon after they all made up, ron broke his leg at the whomping willow, so it was up to hermione and harry to save sirius and buckbeack...hermione took on so many classes this year that she had to used the time turner, which played a big part as it helped sirius escape!

in GoF, hermione proved herself to be quite a looker (lol) when both neville (cough cough) and krum, the durmstrang champion and quidditch world cup hero, asked her to the yule ball. she ended up going with krum, and after she shrunk her teeth and smoothed her hair, harry and ron didnt even recognize her dancing with krum! even malfoy was staring at her! hehe. but krum really seems to be into her, saying "he's never felt this way about any other girl" and inviting her back to bulgaria with him...ahh! thats so cute! lol.

hermione is always working, always in the library, and sometimes her...passionate nature can be annoying for slackers harry and ron! but they sure appreciate it when she helps them with homework! when hermione finds a cause she supports, she throws her whole heart into it...buckbeak's trial? s.p.e.w. anyone? yes, hermione found her mission in book 4 with the society for the promotion of elfish welfare. alas, it never fully caught on. but she really really worked hard on it!
