Gene has a score to settle with the MacDougall Brothers. He encounters their ship, the El Dorado, after entering the intergalactic Heifong Space Race. During the competition, Gene becomes determined to catch up to the El Dorado and establish whether or not his old enemies are actually on board. Contemptuous of space authorities, Harry and Ron MacDougall are known throughout the universe as a devilish duo. They do whatever they wish and ally themselves neither with outlaws nor pirates. Not actually biologically related, the MacDougalls are a strange team indeed. Ron, the elder brother, enjoys competition and is determined to win the Space Race. Harry is an android and an excellent grappler pilot. When he encounters his fellow human construct Melfina, Harry becomes obsessed with possessing her.
