| Ever since I was, I dunno, a super saccharine, shojo, power RPing teenager with delusions of motherhood, I had a lust for fame. Not that Im famous mind, but I will be someday, even if its only in my little circle--which is a strange concept, I guess, but its the truth. In 1999 I started using Demmy less as my imaginary daughter, my diary, or my paper doll (drawing clothes and hair styles on her as if she were a 2 dimensional Barbie) and started using her more as my most beloved, and my most recognizable, character. Really she became like a mascot to me. She became my main character in birthday cards, Christmas cards, and post cards to my friends, as well as in homework assignments, on stationary, and as the official mascot of my first web page. |
| With many of my high school friends scattered or out growing our games, I felt I had to preserve the memory of the stories, adventures, and characters wed come up with in our teenaged youth. I tried to preserve the memory of Demmy and of The Seven most of all, because Demmy had at one point been my daughter and my favorite imaginary friend (this was before the days of Charlie ^_~), and The Seven translated into my group of best friends who were drifting apart. I figured the easiest way to do this was with a story. I tried several. I wanted to publish. I wanted my friends and I to be able share a special secret. We were in those stories, and our tale would be told. |
| During this time Demmy got more whimsical and her animation style became more anime. Also the two parts of her character, the part that was of my shaping, her over active imagination and tomboyishness, and the part that rebelled against me, her girliness, moderness, and stubborn habit of growing up, came together and she became a hipper, slightly older version of who she is now As a final note I said my high school friends (The Seven) were out growing the game. This happened between 1998-1999. But even with the story of The Seven fading forever from memory, Connie was just developing, growing and booming strong. Raven and I were the only member of The Seven still into role play at the moment, but by the end of 1999 Becky and Kellee were back in full force. I think this had something to do with the fact that I got my drivers license that year, and LA went from being on the other side of the world, to right in my own back yard. ^_~ (I live in Ventura) |

"The Circle of Immortals" (98) An immortal Tei adopts a mortal child, and the tales that are told at the yearly gathering for the immortals |
First Chapter of a story I was writing called Secret of the Aldahi (99) The story of 3 girls who discover the secret world of muses and dream sprites, then have to defend themselves from insanity and an evil source. |
| **** Some of these stories were fantasy and had very little to do with the actual "Seven". Some were attempts at a novel about my high school years with "The Seven" as the central story and our real names changed to protect the innocent blah blah blah. . . Many of these attempts had nothing to do with the actual stories or characters of our teenaged years but preserved the flavor of our friendship and of those days passed, or something else I dubbed important. But I was determined to find a way to preserve the essence of the aldahi. | |||
