The Seven
Illutiana with Meristide, one of the other members of The Seven
Long ago, before there were no more dragons, before the unicorns died and the fae folk fled the Earth, there were the humans, and there were the aldahi. And the two were separate sides of the same coin. The humans were creatures of the world. They lived in their physical forms and they toiled the land and built with their hands. And the aldahi were of the mind. They were artists. They drifted from one place to another and the humans welcomed their arrival. When the aldahi came they brought with them music, literature, stories, romance, and adventure. But this happy peace was not to last forever. You see, changes were upon. the world.
A sickness was spreading like wild fire through out the grandest creatures of nature, those now called mythic. Humans, so in love with themselves, of course did not notice the change. Pegasus passed into horse, and little fairies, their wings no longer strong enough to support them, fell to the earth and became as children. Some creatures, like the griffin left the Earth forever, while others, like the Merfolk went into permanent hiding.
It was a very hard road for the aldahi that chose to stay behind. The aldahi, you see, live on art and music, they are inspiration and they draw substance from those they inspired. They must be loved and noticed to exist. But many humans had forgotten how to see them. As time went on Some still spoke with small children who did not yet know that humans had lost their ability to see the aldahi, and still others were able to inspire art and literature in a select few, but they were not noticed for who and what they really were. Then one day that was all to change. Seven children were born on the earth. Seven children who were half human and half aldahi. Though they did not know it, it was their fate to seek out one another and build a gateway to unite the humans and the aldahi once more and for forever. They were known only as The Seven and this is their story. . .
Kinda sappy, huh? Also kinda self-righteous if you think about it, seeing as me and my six friends were "The Seven". (Yeah, I know I told you that at this point it got interesting, but what was I supposed to say? "Don't bother reading the next page, it just gets worse from here." ) Look, I was a fifteen-year-old girl and it was a child's fantasy. For a while Illy literally represented me. "Illutiana" had been her superhero name, now it was her aldahi name, and when she was human, welp, you guessed it--she was just me.
I was the human half and Illutiana was the aldahi half, but then we kinda moved away from our characters being literally us and moved more toward them being our avatars with their own personal histories. Remember when reading this that I was only 15 at the time. It'll help.

Illutiana, when she was a child, was an Egyptian princess. She was once owned by Queen Cleopatra.
Illutiana's superpower was turning bad guys into young children. This was actually because I loved drawing de-aged character designs of my favorite TV heroes and villains. ^_-
Illutiana's secret identity was "Kiki Kemma Kember". She went by "Kemma" and don't look at me like that, I had a thing for alliterative names (look at "Convict Connie")
Oh! Sorry to bother you again, peeps! But one more thing. Notice I call her "Illutiana" instead of "Illiana" that's because this is "Illutiana's" past, not Illiana's. Really, they may have things in common but Illy's a completely different person! Okay I'm done. Bye!

Things start to make more sence and Illy starts to more closely resemble what she is now. ^_^
