I have a good number of computers that I have worked on at one time or anouther. My family, friends, and relatives usually ask me for help when ever they come up with a computer issue. So through this I seem to have managed to scrap together a very interesting collection of computer technology history. There are components here dating back to the early 1990's, all the way back to when I got my first taste of these electronics. Please Note

Alright, here is batch one of the spare devices I have around my home. The first thing on the left is an old zip drive from a Dell Deminsion v350. The top left and top middle are just old trackball mouses that I don't use any more. The bottem left is an old 12 volt  fan with a two pin connector. I don't have a motherboard or an adapter that would allow me to use this fan. The bottem middle component is an old Maxor harddrive from I belive 1996. It is 8gb large and by the way it works, I'm guessing it was dropped one to many times. In the top right we have a home networking card. It was manufactured by Diamond Multimedia in 1998. It came from my Compaq and I just simply have no use for it. The bottem right is a Network Everywhere  brand PCI ethernet card.  It's a spare one that I pulled out of a friends Hewlett Packard. On the far right there is an old SPDIF card that connects to an old sound card. It came from my Compaq and I have no use for it.
A table of computer parts.
Here is the second batch of spare parts I have. On the far left is an old 3com ethernet card. I obtained it from Chater Communications when I first had my cable modem installed. The top left is a sound card. It came from a 1993 Hewlett Packard Pavilion. Below that is anouther sound card. It is off of an Iwill motherboard that I no longer have. Below that are just a couple IDE cables. The top right device is a Hewlett Packard modem. It is a 56k Riptide series modem. In the bottem right spot is a Creative 56k modem. I can not confirm its orgins however. The far right is a video card heatsink. It is a very good little fan, I just need some adhesive thermal greese to apply it to a video card.
Anouther table of parts.
These are a couple of my computers. The top one right now is out of commission. I have it stripped down to the base. The parts that are left in that computer are a 250 watt power supply, a Pentium compatable motherboard, and other then the case itself, the 233mhz Pentium processor w/mmx. I havn't done much reserch on the motherboard or anything only because I'll never have a use for it anyway.

The bottem computer is mostly used as my mothers work computer. It is a Compaq Presario 5600S. It's starting to show its age though, with the motherboard acting like it might be going. It has a k6-3 475mhz processor, 256mb pc133 sd ram, and a TNT2 Ultra 32mb video card. For a long time, that was the main computer here. It also has a 56x cd-rom drive and a Sony 8/4/32 cd-rw drive. From the picture you can see I also have several fans added to help keep out the dust and for added cooling. If I may say, I do not approve of HI-VAL products. It only reads certain cds and my Creative 52x cd-rom drive seems faster. It has an Aereal sound card ofcourse, an ethernet card. The sound card came with the computer when 3D sound was first comming out and it's still a great sound card even by todays standards. I've had this computer for years, never had to many problems.
The old IBM I used to use as a server.
The work computer, photoshop, all that kinda crap.
