The Underground
Theatre seeks to train and promote the talents of young
professionals who supports the effort of upliftment through positive
manifestations of the performing arts.
The Underground
Theatre was founded in October 2000 By (CEO) Keda Wray (a.k.a.
K-zany), General Manager Wanderson Mendes (a.k.a. Nando Accent),
Assistant Manager Vince Clennon (Vince), Promotions Manager Dwight
Clarke (Ginsu), some very dedicated individuals who will not produce
music but will bring a new and creative vibe and energy to Jamaica
and the rest of the world.
All songs produced
by the Underground Theatre is for every age, every race, every
class, every people. This sensation is purely universal.
Coming straight out of Jamaica this phenomenon is definitely
designed for a New Era - new entertainers, new lyrics, new
instrumentals tracks. Its here! Surely this organization
can only be thought of as unique - a Fusion of Hip Hop, R&B,
Dancehall, Latin, Alternative, New Age, Dub Poetry.
The entertainers in
The Underground Theatre are of various cultural and religious
backgrounds. The cultural backgrounds spans the various
regions of Jamaica and stepping across to Brazil, religious is more
diverse, such as Tai Chi, Rastafarianism, to Christianity, but they
are united through music. This New Era and Island
flavoured blend has emerged into something wonderful that can only
be considered as a Nu Generation of entertainers who believe in the
oneness of their goals, purposes, energies, talents and in the one
creator of their united efforts.
