"Bad
words" pose legal problems for entertainers...

SoSo finally, somebody
woke up, checked the law books and found the guts to serve summons
on artistes and entertainers using lewd words on stage. Sumfest and
the controversial end to Dancehall night seems to have been the
straw that broke the camel's back. Beenie Man, Bounti Killa,
Merciless are among the local acts who will have to face the court
to answer charges. Summons were also wriiten up for international
stars Ja Rule and Snoop Dogg.

Lounge now opens five nights per week! - JAMAICAOBSERVER.COM
The
Hilton Kingston, in a bid to bring back its glory days, officially
re-launched the Jonkanoo Lounge nightclub, recently, as the
'happening place' in Kingston, with a media and VIP party for its
mature alternative concept on Saturday nights. The club now operates
five nights per week and food and beverage director, Olivier Lavoine,
believes that before long, Jonkanoo Lounge will overtake other
nightclubs to become the top hangout spot in Kingston.

of the innaugural Port Royal Seafood Festival, scheduled for Sunday,
October 14 in Port Royal. The festival was officially launched at
