Marduk 666

Plague Angel has stolen my heart!

This new lineup gives Marduk the overhaul it needed. I love the new album, it's lightening fast and I love the lyrical content. In the past I thoroughly researched the plague, especially the Black Death (c. 1345-1351), it's one of my favorite things to read about.Cheers!!!

Marduk is from left to right: Legion, vocals; Morgan Steinmeyer Hkansson, guitars; Emil Dragutinovic, drums; B.War, Bass.

marduk without corpsepaint!

Marduk T-shirt count: 5. Marduk CDs count: 23 (I have more than one copy for six of the albums). Marduk Picture Disc count: 3. Marduk video count: 1. This establishes that I am the biggest Marduk female fan in Seattle, possibly the whole state. The only person that beats my collection is Herb.

Hahahaha I now have the "World Funeral" Picture disc, Poster, CD, and Longsleeve so kiss my ass!!!! \m/

The Marduk DVD "Funeral Marches and Warsongs" will be released January 19, 2004. I don't want to wait that long!!!

U.S. release of Marduk single "Hearse" out now at http://www.blackmetal.com/. I have listened to it several times and think it is the best Marduk material yet! Hail Marduk!!! You can also acquire the new album, "World Funeral" there as well!!! I have that CD as well, it's the best album ever (How can you really say something like that? Nightwing and Panzer and LGDM are fucking awesome, too)!!! See my reviews below!

***Author's note: Geocities is so shitty you might need to hit refresh several times to see the pictures.

Welcome to an insane Marduk fan's website. I bought my first black metal CD in December 2001, at a Best Buy in Seattle, and it was Marduk's La Grande Danse Macabre. When I tore off the plastic wrapping, the jewel case came out in pieces. Someone was probably offended by the last track, Jesus Christ...Sodomized, one of my favorite songs. I put it in my stereo and thought, this fucking kicks ass!!! I listened to it over and over, and honestly every song on that album is a good one, especially Unholy Bonds of Matrimony, Death Sex Ejaculation and Funeral Bitch. Whenever I'm in a really bad mood it always cheers me up.

So I'm a fucking newbie. Fuck you if you're going to judge me. I've got 16 out of their 16 releases, including second copies of Blackcrowned, Opus Nocturne, Heaven Shall Burn, Infernal Eternal and La Grande Danse Macabre. That means I have one for work and one for at home. Also I fucking hate it when the CD gets scratched, this shit is priceless, I want my shit backed up.

Morgan

As far as the current lineup goes, Morgan is a fucking genius. Tired of putting up with Osmose's rip-off bullshit, he started his own label, Blooddawn Producations, as well as an awesome mail-order store through their website, found at http://www.marduk.nu. I have ordered two shirts from their store, they were both high quality and very unique, and they were fast at shipping them. Morgan also writes in my opinion the best black metal lyrics, with Demonaz of Immortal coming in at a close second place. He writes a lot of the music as well, I love the guitar riffs on songs like Cloven Hoof, Hearse, World Funeral, Night of the Long Knives, Materialized in Stone, Panzer Division Marduk, Of Hell's Fire, Those of the Unlight, 502, Still Fucking Dead...

Legion

Legion is one of the best singers I've ever heard, certainly the best in black metal (George Fisher is the best in death metal). His aggressive vocal style is fucking awesome on the album and awesome live as well, judging from their albums Live in Germania, Infernal Eternal and some of the live clips from Blackcrowned. I have yet to get the cash to fly over to Europe to see them live, but it has been a dream of mine for a while. Why the U.S. government won't let them in the country is a mystery, but it proves that even a democracy can become a fucking bullshit dictatorship. My favorite songs that Legion sings are: Funeral Bitch, To the Death's Head True, Baptism by Fire, Burn My Coffin, hell ALL OF THEM.

B.WarB.War is a fucking badass that plays some wicked bass melodies. I love the way he plays on Funeral Bitch, it MAKES the instrumental solo. Also check out songs like Summer's End and Unholy Bonds of Matrimony. His low rumbling bass and Morgan's wicked guitar make a hellishly brutal sound. He has the best corpsepaint, in my opinion! I want to hear a B.War bass solo on the next album!

EmilRush out and buy the new album, it features Marduk's new drummer, Emil Dragutinovic!!!! He's a fucking force to be reckoned with! Also he pedals like a motherfucker!!! Cheers for acquiring such an awesome guy. I can't wait to see him play on the Marduk DVD "Funeral Marches and Warsongs" due out January 19, 2004. He really completes this lineup, and with the newest album "World Funeral" they've created the fastest, darkest, most aggressive black metal I've ever heard. Please come to the U.S.!!!! You fucking rule! \m/

As soon as possible I'll provide reviews to all their albums (see the few I've done below). If I didn't have to work so much, maybe this would be a good website. Keep supporting metal!
