Part 1 Castles in Spain

Week 12 Sunday September 4 to Saturday September 10, 2005

Someday, somehow I will leave this windowless hellhole and once again live above ground. But for the moment this place is kind of cute 'n cosy in a scarey kind of way.

Txema (the guy with the studio, though there are so many txemas here that it could be just about anybody). Anyway, Txema and I have started working on some stuff in his studio. The first thing looks like it might be sort of a dancish pop kind of number along the lines of "Talk Down 2 Me". You know, that's the title track from the new CD. If you don't know what I'm talking about you could go listen on one of the web sites where I've posted the music. Or if you don't care then nevermind.

He's got some newer versions of some of the software I was using for my last CD and brother, what a difference! Sounds a lot better and is way easier and faster to use. He's got some guitars and keyboards and basses and drum machines just hanging around with nothing to do so I'm putting them to use.

So,. in case you haven't been following this discourse over the last few months I'll give you a refresher. I'm living in Txurdinaga, in Bilbao Spain (the north). My tour to support my latest CD, Talk Down 2 Me, fell apart at the start of my so called "European Breakout Tour" and I've been stuck here ever since. I dumped my useless management team back in Canada (they've threatened to sue over breach of contract but, frankly, there pissing in the wind). I guess I should be working harder to get things up and going again but I've gotten caught up in other things (like survival).

So, Txema's parents both work (which is a good thing for both him and me) so we work on the music during the day. We're not too noisy except for the vocal tracks.
