Tonight night falls
beside cyanide pillowmints.
Showercurtain acquaintances.
Airborne insecurity, unspoken nonthoughts
with a smile
town to town.
By nightfall
those faces, no features
mannequin windowshoppers
streetlight disgust, soft spoken rumors
at your back
town to town.
Swing down nightfall
naked for all
misunderstanding masks
fear truth, overspoken, meaningless
in your ears
town to town
night falls.
