Merrin is a defender of nature and staunch follower of Kord the Brawler. His early attempts at being goodie-two-shoes were sidelined by the hard knocks dealt out by a hard world. It's rumored he got his nickname "The Badger Killer" from single handedly battling and defeating a large vicious badger, over 100 feet long, called from Hell by a Master Magician to destroy the world. There are other rumors that he was startled by a normal badger one night in camp and used a heavy crossbow to overkill it, but that's just a rumor. Kill a hundred giants by yourself and do they call you the "Giant Killer?" No! But kill one badger and... well, I digress.

Anyway, ranger extraordinaire and all that... yadda... yadda... yadda. He's been adventuring for several years now and is starting to get tired of sleeping on rocks and eating cold iron rations. He's exploring a business opportunity protecting the pass between two warring nations with Ringsdorf, Raco, his sister Tyrrian, Dante' and a few selected others.
