Welcome to the Society for Local Birds of Cincinnati!

We are happy to have you visiting today! Our society exists to extoll the benefits of bird watching in our local area, and hope to assist you in that venture. We provide an abundance of information about local birds you can see at almost any time of year. We are constantly updating our site with new content, so please, check back often!

Please remember the following rules when observing birds:

  1. Quiet! Birds, especially wild birds, are often easily startled and scared away!.
  2. Be Courteous! You are in these birds' home, so be courteous of their nests, especially if young are present.
  3. Take Pictures, not Trophies! Please take pictures of the birds and their nests, but don't take the nests, eggs or birds with you!

To help guide your way to a bird sighting, please use the handy table below to know when certain species of bird are most visible. If your Web browser supports JavaScript, you should also find that the table is color-coded for your ease of reading. Please keep in mind that some birds prefer to migrate for the winter, and therefore may be impossible to see during the winter months of November through mid-March.
