Water features seem to be becoming more and more popular on the gardening scene.  We have always loved them and had at least one water feature as they seem to convey peace and tranquility. We find them very pleasing to the eye.

....WATER FEATURES....
Front and Back Garden
I think most people would agree there is something special about water features. The sound of water running or trickling down a waterfall tends to give a relaxing effect as does still water.

Many water features attract birds and frogs and it is not unusual for us to find ducks frolicking in our swimming pool as well.

The features that include fish of course do need extra maintenance as regards water quality.

So let us explore the water features here at Daze Retreat.

Several of these features are home to our real life frogs who I am constantly retrieving from the swimming pool.

I have not included the Koi Pond as that  comes under the "Koi Pond and Fish" section.

This water feature is situated in our front garden and is covered to prevent birds and cats from taking the fish.  It is a pretty little feature and has ferns coming up everywhere between the rocks. Lizards love to bask in the sun on the pool rocks and the filter provides a nice little trickle down the rocks. The fish in this pond are also doing well.
This feature is situated in the back garden at the end of the swimming pool and is also covered for the safety of the fish. It is relaxing to watch this feature when swimming in the pool.
