Robert J. Carlson

A human driven insane after losing his job, home and wife who initiated a bombing campaign on Proxima 3 using duridium nitrate based explosives that he had acquired from an ice mining operation on Vega 7.

He was employed by the Maintenance and Engineering Division of Babylon 5 on 11th January 2260, taking up residence in Blue 95 from where he resumed his bombing campaign with the slogan "Chaos is coming". He managed to claim several lives, seriously injuring Lennier and causing Londo Mollari and G'Kar to become trapped in a lift together after bombing Red 15.

He was identified after cross-referencing visual records of the bomb scenes by Brother Theo and his monks and data obtained by Morishi. He was subsequently apprehended by John Sheridan after a struggle in his quarters.

General Richard Franklin

An Earth Force General and the father of Dr. Stephen Franklin. He is a military hero, a veteran of both the Dilgar War, where he commanded Michael Garibaldi's father, Alfredo, and the Earth-Minbari War.

At some point in his career he earned the nicknames "Old Firestorm", "Hero of the Canal War", "Liberator of the African Bloc" and "Scourge of Janos 7". His family life was not so successful, as he spent most of his time away from his family and ran it like a military platoon when he was at home. He lived according to career demands rather than his own desires, and was horrified when Stephen Franklin left on his sight seeing tour, refusing to speak to him until he joined Earth Force for the Earth-Minbari War.

He led 25,000 GROPOs of the 356th Infantry Division through Babylon 5 to fight a battle on the planet Akdor known as Operation Sudden Death. While at Babylon 5, his team upgraded the station's defense grid, including the addition of pulse cannons and improved tracking systems provided by the Earth Alliance Resources & Technical Division. Also while on Babylon 5, he and Stephen were able to reconcile their differences.

Sebastian

A human, born on Earth in the 19th century who lived at 14b Heresford Lane, London, England, and vanished on November 11th 1888 after he "was found by the Vorlons," taken, transported and brought into their service. He was to be "called upon by the Vorlons when needed and preserved when not".

It was later revealed that he was Jack the Ripper, committing his crimes because he truly believed himself to be a chosen one on a crusade from God until the Vorlons confronted him with the depth of his mistake, as penance requiring him to test other "chosen ones".

He was summoned to Babylon 5 from his stasis on the Vorlon homeworld by Kosh in order to question Delenn and John Sheridan to ensure that they were
"the right people in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons". The inquisition took place in the isolation chamber in Grey 19. They became the first to pass his examination when they both revealed that they were prepared to die for the other, alone and uncelebrated.

Tessa Holloran
[Number One]

Number One, the codename used by Tessa Holloran as the leader of the Mars Colony based anti-President Clark resistance movement. She fell for Stephen Franklin during his covert visit to the colony to establish relations between the Mars Colony resistance and Babylon 5. Number One was one of the first anti-Clark resistance leaders to agree that John Sheridan's request that they should abandon random acts of terror and start working together was the best way to overthrow President Clark. She realized that Franklin had made up part of Sheridan's intentions to convince the other members.

Like many non-telepaths she has an inherent distrust of the Psi Corps, particularly given their use in the Bloodhound Program, and was livid when she discovered that Franklin had brought a telepath, Lyta Alexander, into her hideout without even consulting with her. It didn't help matters when she discovered the thirty hibernating telepaths rescued from the Shadows that were delivered at the same time.

Despite this however she was prepared to believe the images of a captive Michael Garibaldi's reprogramming at the hands of Bester projected into her mind by Lyta Alexander enough to give him a stay of execution for his betrayal of John Sheridan, much to Michael Garibaldi's relief. He had risked a deep scan out of desperation when talk had failed to convince her. Even so it took Lyta Alexander and Stephen Franklin holding her at PPG point before Lyta could perform the scan.

She was later to come to Babylon 5 bringing a warning for Garibaldi and Lise, that an assassination attempt was to be made on them. Her discussion with John Sheridan led to her being offered the position as Head of Security for the new Interstellar Alliance.

David McIntyre

An Earth Force officer, serial number R27A59, born in 2208 who was the gunnery sergeant on the Prometheus that initiated the attack upon the Minbari convoy carrying Dukhat, destroying two Minbari ships and starting the chain of events that was to lead to the Earth-Minbari War.

Absolved of any responsibility for his actions by the review board, on the grounds that he was following orders from his captain, he was placed back into active duty despite suffering lengthening bouts of depression, fought right through to the Battle of the Line where he earned the Silver Star for Valor and was honorably discharged on 5th February, 2253.

Tortured by guilt and blaming himself for the war he traveled to Babylon 5 aboard the Asimov fifteen years to the day after the fateful encounter with the Minbari fleet, suffering from delusions of being Arthur Pendragon, King of the Britons, since like the legendary king he had a burden of guilt, represented by Excalibur, to pass onto another. Arriving on Babylon 5 he was taken into the care of Marcus and Dr. Franklin who managed to correctly identify him and remove his burden of guilt by having him pass his sword onto Delenn, but not before he befriended G'Kar, whom he dubbed the Red Knight after they had returned a prized photo stolen from an old woman lurker.

Free of his burden David McIntyre traveled to the Narn homeworld where he planned to start a new life helping with organizing the Narn resistance to the occupying forces of the Centauri Republic.

Captain Enrique Montoya

Ranger and Captain of White Star 27 a.k.a The Maria (unofficially named after his late sister). He was in charge of training new Rangers.

Delenn arranged for Lennier to continue his training under Captain Montoya, although the real reason for his presence was to find proof that the Centauri were behind attacks on Alliance shipping.

Montoya showed himself to be a man of independant thought and had a rare wisdom and understanding of ranger trainees.

Julie Musante

A political officer assigned to Babylon 5 by the Nightwatch division of the Ministry of Peace with the direct authority of the Babylon 5 Senate Oversight Committee ostensibly to advise Captain Sheridan due to the lack of "political astuteness" in his recent actions.

Once on Babylon 5 she made a blatant attempt to seduce John Sheridan which failed, and furthered the doubts in the mind of Zack Allen that he might not be doing the right thing. She was eventually recalled to Earth to assist with the political upheaval that
resulted when data recovered by Susan Ivanova from the Great Machine of Epsilon 3 linking President Clark to the assassination of President Santiago was released.

Karl Edward Mueller

Tried and convicted of the murder of two of Babylon 5's lurkers and the "brutal and senseless slaying" of a security officer in 2258 and sentenced to Death of Personality by Ombuds Wellington. Although Michael Garibaldi, suspected him of many other murders this was not provable, although in her telepathic scan of him prior to the brain wipe Talia Winters discovered evidence, inadmissible in the courtroom, that this was the case.

He escaped from custody and was later killed in self defense by Dr. Laura Rosen
using her alien "healing machine" for its original purpose, Mueller having gone to her seeking help for a PPG wound received in his escape, also taking her daughter Janice and later Dr. Franklin hostage.

Captain Ellis Pierce

The captain of the Earth Force heavy cruiser Hyperion who was dispatched to Babylon 5 in order to secure the Tigris Sector so that the Earth Alliance would be able to seize the technology of the Great Machine following its discovery on Epsilon 3. He was quite prepared to use force if necessary, using the authority of the Office of Planetary Security to attempt to seize control when Jeffrey Sinclair rejected his heavy handed tactics.

When Takarn arrived to seize control of the planet he responded to Takarn's ultimatum for the Earth Alliance to stand down with one of his own; leave or be attacked. Only when Jeffrey Sinclair's authority over the system was confirmed by President Luis Santiago did he back down and express his regrets at his handling of the situation.

Dr. Laura Rosen & Janice Rosen

Laura Rosen, a dedicated medical doctor who lost her license in 2255 when an accident caused by her abuse of stims resulted in the death of a patient. With the loss of her license she also lost her reason to live, until she decided that she could redeem herself if it were possible to obtain an alien device capable of healing.

She later found just such a device that was originally used as a means of corporal punishment by draining life energy and feeding it to others.

Dying of Lake's Syndrome she discovered a method of using the device to transfer a small part of her own life energy to others, and was thus able to use it to heal people. She decided that she should spend her remaining days helping as many people as she could by donating her own life to cure others, a fact that she kept concealed from her daughter, Janice.

She and her daughter came to Babylon 5 during 2258 where they set up in business, her daughter selling jewelry in the Zocalo while she ran a clinic for the lurkers in DownBelow. She accepted whatever donations that her patients could offer, much to the chagrin of Dr. Stephen Franklin who found that his own free clinic was out of patients and when he set out to discover why, it wasn't long before he found Dr. Rosen's operation.

He initially considered her to be a con artist, but was quickly convinced of the machine's genuineness after scanning Laura Rosen while she was operating the device. Aghast at the fact that she was donating her own life to others until she explained about her incurable disease. When the trio were taken hostage by Karl Mueller, who threatened to kill her daughter and Dr. Franklin unless she used the device to heal his PPG wound she reversed the energy flow through the device, killing him in self defense and in turn cured herself of Lake's Syndrome.

The device was confiscated at her trial and placed in the care of Dr. Stephen Franklin who later used it to help Michael Garibaldi recover from his attempted murder, while Laura Rosen decided that it was time she returned to Earth and begin a new life, although she would never be able to totally forgive herself for taking a life, even in self defense.

Wade

An educated man with a Masters degree in Literature who claimed to be a member of a group concerned that John Sheridan's increasing cult of personality was leading him away from his cause.

He approached Michael Garibaldi shortly after his interview with Dan Randall of ISN in which he spoke out against his former superior officer and requested his help in correcting this. Wade was actually an important member of William Edgars' organization and a keen believer in Edgars' plan to control the Psi Corps through Edgars' anti-telepath virus and was bringing Garibaldi into the fold for the purposes of using his skills in this plan, starting with removing Sheridan from the scene as Edgars considered his actions against President Clark to be resulting in more and more power being given to the Psi Corps.

Ironically Michael Garibaldi proved to be the undoing of the plan, as unknown to Wade and Edgars he had been maneuvered into their operation by the Psi Cop Bester who had heard rumors of the virus and suspected that Edgars was involved. Once Garibaldi was aware of the details his conditioning made him report in to Bester and reveal the Edgars' plans for the Psi Corps. This was all the motivation that Bester required to launch an attack that left Edgars and two security guards dead, Wade mortally injured and the anti-telepath virus in the hands of Psi Cops, while conveniently blaming the attack on the Mars Colony resistance.
