Alisa Beldon

A teenager, born in Los Angeles on 12 July 2244, who was stranded on Babylon 5 when her father, Eliot, died. She had to resort to theft to survive in DownBelow. Alisa started to exhibit strong telepathic ability (estimated Psi Corps rating P10) with the onset of puberty, suffering a mind burst while attempting to flee after stealing some jewelry, resulting in her capture.

Talia Winters was adamant that she should join the Psi Corps, making numerous gifts on their behalf. Susan Ivanova was equally determined that she should have another choice. Alisa chose to take the offer by Delenn to leave Babylon 5 in order to train with the Minbari, after turning down the offers by the Psi Corps and a lucrative offer by the Narn Regime to provide them with telepathic gene samples.

In the process of deciding she inadvertently scanned Delenn, detecting her involvement in the disappearance of Branmer's corpse and touching on her intention to use the chrysalis device.

She came to Babylon 5 to meet with Taro Isogi to discuss trade possibilities that might secure such an agreement in 2259 but suffered a severe setback when Taro Isogi was murdered by Abel Horn, who had been resurrected by Bureau 13.

The creature fed upon William's internal organs, and then moved onto Mariah's when he died.

Intercepted and rescued by Babylon 5 she began to form a relationship with Stephen Franklin, admitting that their marriage was far from perfect, and that they had broken up several times. She soon began to suffer from flashbacks and nightmares, becoming convinced that there had been something in her cryogenic freezer unit with her, which she later discovered was the same "Soldier of Darkness" that had killed her husband.

Mariah Cirrus eventually decided to return to Earth to mourn her late husband and catch up on the events of the past century, informing Stephen Franklin that she might return to Babylon 5 one day, if he were still interested.

Following his mind wipe received on April 3rd 2251 he was taken to a transfer facility on Earth where he was presumed killed in a fire, but instead fled and joined the Dominican order under Brother Theo.

His mind wipe was subsequently broken by a family member of one of the victims, who didn't feel the punishment suited the crimes. To do this, he hired a Centauri telepath to help break the mind wipe, in order to bring back the memories before planning to kill him. (See Brother Malcolm).

Technomage Elric

The leader of about one hundred human Technomages who passed through Babylon 5 in 2259 en route to the rim where they hoped to avoid what Elric described as "a dark and terrible storm".

Upon realizing the Technomages were on the station Londo Mollari desperately sought an audience with them, but was firmly rebuffed by Elric, regardless of the sums of money offered by Londo. In the end, Londo's persistence led Elric to possess his data systems with a holodemon that destroyed his files and bought him shares in both a Spoo ranch and in Fireflies Incorporated.

Londo's persistence eventually paid off, although not in the way he had intended; instead of a public audience to establish a similar esteem that the original Centauri Emperor had, Elric informed him that he was touched by darkness and billions would cry his name, but not as Londo assumed as his followers, but as his victims.

William Edgars

The second husband of Lise Hampton and a Mars Colony pharmaceuticals magnate running Edgars Industries, the fourth largest corporation in the Earth Alliance, to which it is the largest supplier of chemical weapons, with the largest medical reseach laboratory on the planet.

Edgars is placed in the top ten richest men in the Earth Alliance, with assets that include "half of Mars Dome", including a private monorail dock, and homes on Earth, Mars Colony and Io. Yet despite this impressive standing William Edgars is somewhat reclusive, with no known pictures available, even to Michael Garibaldi with his extensive set of contacts and other methods of obtaining information.

Edgars is deeply distrustful of telepaths and refuses to employ them, even going so far as to force Michael Garibaldi to dismiss Lyta Alexander as his assistant soon after puting Babylon 5's former security chief onto a retainer.

Edgar's motives are purely for financial gain and power, to the extent that he developed an anti-telepath virus so that he could gain both by selling the vaccine and by using the ability to control its supply to control the Psi Corps. It is possible that Edgars had the help of Shadow agents to develope this virus. He has been known to have bought elections within EarthGov to further these ends.

William Edgars' plans of gaining control over EarthGov and the Psi Corps started quite well once he had Wade bring Michael Garibaldi onto the team. With Garibaldi's knowledge, he was able to arrange the capture of John Sheridan. He feared that Sheridan's actions would provoke President Clark into a panic-stricken decision to give the Psi Corps unprecedented power in addition to the considerable power that he already bestowed upon them, such as assignment to the military to perform loyalty scans.

Edgars was almost certainly correct in assuming that this was power that they would be unwilling to concede when President Clark was eventually removed from office. However before he could put his deadly plan of releasing the virus into action, his plans were revealed to Bester by Michael Garibaldi who had been acting under Bester's control the whole time.

Edgars was killed, along with Wade and two security guards, when Psi Cops raided his home in Mars Dome and also managed to seize both the anti-telepath virus and its antidote at the same time while placing the blame for the attack on the Mars Colony resistance.

Lise Hampton-Edgars

A Mars Colony born former girlfriend of Michael Garibaldi whom he met within days of his assignment there. After a happy year together during which time they talked of marriage he moved on to become Babylon 5's security officer at the request of Jeffrey Sinclair while she decided to remain on Mars Colony.

As a result they parted after an argument. During the Mars Rebellion of 2258 Garibaldi was concerned for her safety and desperately tried to contact her with the intent of apologizing and rekindling their relationship. He was relieved to find that she was alive, albeit injured in crossfire whilst trying to obtain some food. However he was not too impressed with the news that she was already married to Frans and expecting their first child, so he broke off contact once more.

Their paths crossed again in 2261, when Michael Garibaldi was hired by Wade to act as her bodyguard during a covert visit to Babylon 5 to receive a molecular isopot of genetic material, later to be revealed to be an anti-telepath virus developed by William Edgars. While they were talking Michael discovered that not only had she divorced Frans following his affair, loosing custody of her daughter Deborah in the process, but had not recontacted him at all before remarrying, this time to William Edgars and assuming the name Lise Hampton-Edgars.

Signs that all might not be well with her second marriage emerged soon after Garibaldi confronted her over this, when she referred to herself merely as "Lise Hampton", but by this point Garibaldi had already decided that a long term relationship with her was simply not to be.

Despite the possible conflict of interests however, Michael Garibaldi accepted William Edgars' offer of employment and travelled to Mars Dome to meet with his new employer. Garibaldi was unaware that he was acting under the programming of Bester who intended to manipulate him into discovering the extent of William Edgars' involvement in an anti-telepath virus.

When the truth emerged that Edgars was responsible for the virus, Bester launched an immediate assault on their home to seize it and kill those involved, an attack that left both William Edgars and Wade dead, and Lise Hampton missing.

Lise had in fact managed to survive the attack and was trying to flee Mars when she was seized by the Martian mafia and briefly held to ransom until rescued by a team of Rangers led by Michael Garibaldi. He remained with her for a while on a now independent Mars before deciding to return to Babylon 5.

With his alcoholic problem returning, due to Besters interference with his mind, it took Captain Lochley's message to Lise to bring her to Babylon 5. Here she began to help dry out Garibaldi, and after an assassination atempt on her life, she and Garibaldi were finally married, becoming therefore, Mrs. Lise Hampton-Edgars-Garibaldi !!!
