 Did You Know?
?
Did you know that this demented and psycho looking individual is one of the deadliest strikers in the League? His back-four style is not too shaby either. Did you know he never has time to take a Knapp?

"Did You Know" takes us back in time remembering some of our 88's classic memories.  Good times and not so great magic moments are re-visited here in this test your memory category.

Did you know that everything here is documented and so much more...

 DID  YOU  KNOW?
?

Did you know that Darlington drew 10 times in their 2000 outdoor season? 7 of those ties came in regular season.

Did you know that July 9th, 1998 in the U-10 outdoor season the boys hit double figures at the Hydros, thumping Unionville by a score of 10-0?

Did you know that in 1999 in the outdoor season the U-11 boys went wire to wire, only losing once capturing the League Championship with a 13-1 overall record?

Did you know that in the U-13 2001 outdoor season Chrissy scored in 11 consecutive games; 5 of those games he scored a pair?

Did you know that in the 2003 Regional U-15 outdoor season Spidey had registered 5 consecutive games not surrendering a single goal?

Did you know that in the 2000 U-12 outdoor season Greggors scored a hat-trick and assisted on another in a 4-2 win over Richmond Hill?  But what's even more outstanding is the fact that all 3 of his goals on that night came from long range free kicks from 30 yards out and further?

Did you know that Spidey posted 5 consecutive shut-outs in the Richmond Green Indoor 2002 season?

Did you know that there has only ever been one rookie ever in the history of the 88's to register a point, earn a MOTM nod and collect a yellow card all in his debut regular season only? That rookie was in the 2003 Outdoor Season and it was Frenchy.

Did you know that way back in 1998 during our 88's U-10 season they drove up north to play Lake Simcoe? Our lads won 5-0. Matt McMillan scored four goals on that chilly night.

Did you know that our 88's third game in the "98 Etobicoke Tourney was postponed for one and a half hours due to a freak sleet and hail storm at the beginning of June?

Did you know that on July 20th, 2000 in the U-12 outdoor season the lads lost 1-6 to CS Azzurri, but they lost more that their pride on that night as Scotty broke his arm and was sidelined for the rest of the year?  He actually made a triumphant return for the very last game of the season helping the team to maintain their footings in the Premiers and not get relegated.

Did you know that our 88's began their 2001-02 indoor season with a  10-game unbeaten record; 7 of those were wins?

Did you know in the 2001 outdoor season Geoff, Kyle, Greggors, Jeremy & Stephen were present for all 32 games?

Did you know that way back in 1998 our 88's opened up their outdoor regular season against Unionville and won a covincing 6-0 game? David scored 4 goals and assisted on the other 2.

Did you know that there has only ever  been one Darlington 88 individual  to be cautioned and sent out of the game in the history of the team?It was not a player. Do you know who that  person was?

Did you know that Unionville doesn't really have real refs? They use wood-working rejects that wear safety goggles. Also, York has the school for these referees.

Did you know that in the 2001 outdoor season all fifteen 88's, including Spidey, contributed with either a goal or an assist?

Did you know that Aaron walked no less than 4 "MOTM" honours in the 2002 outdoor season including the Most Sportsmanlike hardware at the end of the season?

Did you know that our lads played in the 2003 Outdoor Ajax Tournament against Richmond Hill and not one single player actually played even though they were really there on the pitch?
