HISTORY
In the
beginning God created Earth, and not too far behind came
the Darlington 88's.....

the seven players on the 2004 U-16 team
that are in this picture?
...and here is how the story started...
We have three players who have served the
longest time on the team: Scott and Geoff
both began in the 1996 season, at the age of 8, playing
for the Darlington U10B squad. Brandon Weigel
jumped on board in the 1997 season, playing for the U10B
team at the age of 9. The bulk of the now Regional
team, presently known as Darlington 88 was
launched in the 1998 season with 7 of our present
players and the introduction of Headman and Trainer
Bonazza, who was assistant to Luc Bonin at that time.
Powell managed the team. The lads played in the
U10A division and finished with a 7-5-2 record.
They played in 3 tournaments: Etobicoke (1-2),
Darlington (2-3) and Whitby (1-2).
