Guest Starring
Camden Toy as Gnarl

Buffy, Xander and Dawn wait for Willow to arrive at the airport terminal. Xander talks about how he saved the world and the talk turns to the subject of Willow and if it will be strange to have her back. When the Plane arrives, all the passengers disembark, but there is no sign of Willow!
Willow gets off a plane, looks around the terminal, but she does not see Buffy, Xander or Dawn.
A kid is spray painting at a construction site when a voice starts whispering to him, then 'something' attacks him.
Willow shows up at the Summers house but doesnt see anyone. She goes upstairs and into the bedroom she shared with Tara.
Willow stands by the window and thinks about Tara and her murder.
When she hears a noise downstairs she investigates but doesnt find anything.
At the same time Buffy, Dawn and Xander show up at the house but, for some
reason, they are unable to see Willow, who in turn, can't see them!
Willow walks around town and sees Anya getting things from the destroyed Magic
Shop. They talk and Anya tells her about the new high school, Spike and that
Xander is probably at his Construction job. Willow goes to the construction site
                                          and finds a skinless body.
Xander and Buffy are looking at the same body but do not see Willow. They wonder if Willow could be responsible.
Willow goes to the new high school to talk to Spike. While they are talking, Spike realizes that Buffy and Xander, who also show up to speak to him, cant see Willow and that Willow cant see them.
Unable to learn much from the insane Spike, Willow goes to Anya's apartment and
talks her into helping her to perform a spell that will show them the locations of all
the demons in Sunnydale.
Dawn, Xander and Buffy research to find out what type of demon skins its victims.
Using clues about the body Xander, Dawn and Buffy use Spike to try and track the
demon. Spike leads them to  a cave entrance, but leaves them when he feels that
he has been insulted.
Inside the cave, Dawn is attacked and slowly becomes paralysed.
Buffy and Xander take her home but accidentaly trap Willow, who is also there, in the cave with the demon before they go.
Willow tries to do a spell but Gnarl, the demon, tells her that spells dont work on
him. He attacks and paralyzes her.
He taunts her that her friends abandoned her as he starts to peel her skin off in
strips, he then eats the skin.
Back at the house Anya arrives. She tells Xander and Buffy about Willow going to
                                          investigate the cave.
They go back to the cave with Anya, who is the only one of the scoobies able to
see Willow, and Buffy fights the demon because she has to kill him to cure Dawns paralysis. She kills him and Anya goes to get help for Willow.  Xander and Buffy talk to her even though they cant see her.  She appears and they wait for help.
Back at Buffys, Willow realises that because she was worried about seeing her friends again, the magic inside her caused her to become invisible to them.
Later, in her bedroom she and Buffy talk about Buffys suspicion that it was Willow that skinned the boy. Willow tells her she has to think that way since shes the slayer.
Willow is in obvious pain from the wounds that Gnarl inflicted. She is using magic to try
and cure herself but she is fairly weak, so Buffy holds Willows hands and tells her that
she has strength to spare.
