As of now I work in Bryce 4, Poser 4 Pro, and Dromed. I can make landscapes, characters, characters moving in landscapes, characters moving in imported video, and much more.
My two main projects, Vampira Noctura and Aerocraft: Blind, are both done entirely with 3d sprites and backgrounds. This technique is similar to the one used by Nintendo in the Donkey Kong Country Series, and Yoshi's Story. I model and animate the characters in Poser, then save the finished movie as a set of images of each frame, which I then assemble a GIF image with the exported images, making the character in the game look like true 3d, but it is really a low-size GIF.
Ive been working with Poser for 2 years now. I self taught myself while I was on home schooling for my junior and senior year of high school. I had tutoring one day, and I played with the computer all week. I made many small movies of figures fighting eachother, experimenting with composition in the video, camera angles, animation techiques, and incorporating other programs with Poser to make a better final product. You never get a great product by using just one program.
Anything I need to do, from modeling and animating a character, to recreating a real-life landscape in Bryce, I have no trouble. |
