So, What's New?Check out the older updates by visiting the back-up copy of the past "what's new" page. What's Old =P Sep. 6, 2000: Well.... guess it's about time to
put something on the page about this..... Mar. 19, 2000: Sorry for the lack of updates
Y'All. My job, my girl, and my justovertwomonthold boy are really using up all of my time.
I'm taking a couple moments here to put a file online which was contributed by Billy Wick
to the site though. I'm always tickled to receive files directly from the authors where I can
give proper credit. Oct 31, 1999: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Oct 25, 1999: Well, so much for that plan =P
This isn't much of an update, things have been pretty hectic on my homefront lately with the
baby on the way and my work schedule turning into a nightmare. Not to mention the amount of
time that Might and Magic VII takes out of me ~_^ Aug. 2, 1999: No Midis online yet in this
update. Been too busy dealing with messed up servers, getting the new updated DQ/DW Shrine
Online, and loving on my girl and soon to be baby ^_^ I fixed a few of the links and this
is mainly to let you know there are a load of new Midis will be coming online soon. Just want
to get the new server established and all the Midis moved to there so that all of them will
be in one place and easier to manage. May 2, 1999: Midi Update complete!! Ding! April 30, 1999: Geeesh! My ISP sold out and I'm having to change my e-mail and web addy's for the stuff I have there. Therefore, I had to change almost EVERY page I have on the web. Those things now stand corrected on all my pages and I'm getting ready to work on Dustin's right now. A midi update is coming here to the Shrine soon. (relatively speaking with me LOL) March 12, 1999: Finally! Got this update done ^_^ Been a little busy spending time with my girl, so that's my excuse LOL hehehe You'll find there are new versions of tunes on the DW2, DW3, DW4, DQ5, DQ6, and DQM pages. Finally got a non-crashing version of DW3cave up there for those of you afraid of those zipped crashers. It's from the DQ3 Reprise. Also a few interesting remixed tunes in this update. The DW4 Wagon remix is neat, give it a play ^_^ You'll also find a couple of new tunes on the Unknowns page, drop me a line if you can identify them for me. Put up a couple new links a while back... First off is the Dragon Quest News Network. Great up to date news site and link site. Something we've needed badly. In fact, my translation links are out of date, so check at DQNN for up to date links on that. Also added a link to a great DW1 site called DW1 online. He has a GREAT wealth of information up there that I've never seen presented before, and it's a VERY nicely designed page. Well worth a visit, so drop on by there and tell 'em Darkni sent you ^_^ He's got cheat codes, BTW ~_^ Jan 2, 1999: Great Googly Moogly! Darkni's at it again! First off, so much for the unknowns page ^_^ Cliff and Neil_ took care of all those in short order. They've been moved to the DQM and DW3 pages where they belong. I feel like such a lazy bum on some of those. If I'd just went through my files I'd have been able to identify those myself =P Next on the agenda, how's about two new battle midis? New versions on the DW3 and DQ6 page. The gem of this update though is on the DW2 page. Check out this MASSIVE 35 minute medley midi I found. I left all the "New!"'s from the previous update this time, since it hasn't been too long since the last one.
Dec. 29, 1998: What's this? Darkni gets off his lazy rear
and updates! Check out each and every page except DQ6 for new versions of tunes and even a few brand spanking new tunes I hadn't found yet. Also, check out the Unknowns page and see if you can identify any of those. Have your name preserved for posterity on the page if you identify a tune for me first ^_^ Now, off to work on that DQ1-2 (DQ1) Online FAQ... after I listen to a few new .wav files about two dozen more times ~_^ Sign my guestbook dagnabbit Y'all!!! Hehehehehe Dec. 5, 1998: It's finally up and functional! If you missed the Dragon Quest Monsters Midis when they were posted on the message boards, they're now a part of the Midi Shrine. I also put a little Online indicator on the main page to show when I'm online with ICQ. If it says indicator disabled I'm either really busy or the ICQ thingie is messed up like it is right now =P Also added a guestbook after several suggestions that I oughta have one. I've got a whole bunch of other tunes almost ready to go up for all the games pages, so look for an update in the hopefully near future. Provided I can tear myself away from ICQ chats long enough....Heyas Bails n' Sleep! ::Grins:: Nov. 21, 1998: Removed all the What's New entries that didn't list file updates from this page. And I suppose you probably noticed that the entire Shrine has a brand spankin' new (and hopefully easier to navigate) look. This new format is based upon a design by Dwaine (of the DQ Anime and Manga page) and just might give you a sense of Deja Vu come the new year *Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge, Say no more!* You'll notice there's a link to a DQ Monsters page on the navigation bar, but it's just a placeholder page at the moment. I've got a half a dozen tunes or so to put up there when I finish the file update in the (hopefully) near future. Also oodles of tunes for the rest of the pages as well. I'll announce on Dustin's Message board when the new midis all go up as well as here on the news page. Oct. 8, 1998: Fixed the link to Zophar's... again! This is getting to be a habit! Also fixed the link to DQ/DW Fanclub. Added a text only version of the links page for those who don't want to wait for the buttons to load. Sorry, you're still stuck with me Python sound effects though! :P New Tunes! Check the DW2, DW3, DW4, and DQ5 Pages for a few new versions of tunes. I'm keeping my eyes peeled on the Japanese sites right now, I expect the first DQM and DQ7 Midis to start surfacing in the near future, and pages will go up the day I find one of those! ATTENTION WIN 3.1 USERS!!! I think I may have discovered at least one cause of the "crasher" midis. Several in this update I expected to crash, but found that they did not on my Win95 system. My 3.1 system is down at the moment, so if any of you 3.1 users experience browser or media player crashes with the midis in this update.... E-mail me! Don't forget, even if they crash media player/browsers, they still work fine in a midi player. Sept. 2, 1998: Fixed the link to Zophar's.... again! Zophar changes servers more often than I change houses :P Changed the Logo, and keep your eye out for updates here in (hopefully) the near future. I'm going to be posting SPC's and the necessary player in order for Midi artists to have a reference to make some versions of DQ tunes that are needed for the Anix DQ1 Clone. I've been busy and haven't gotten enough of them ripped yet to post. They're on the way, however ^_^ No word at all on the unknowns page for the longest time... then Whammo! I get identification from about 3-4 people within a week ^_^ Cliff was the first one to send them in, so he's credited on them. But thanks to everyone who e-mailed and instant messaged me with identifications. All are appreciated, and were certainly helpful in final cross reference checks. Look for new tunes on the DW2, DW3, DQ5, and DQ6 pages. August 9,1998: Put up a couple more new links. Added some links to important DQ Community projects on the main page next to the "Translate DQ!" Graphic. Click 'em and contribute! New Tunes: New version of Tower on DW3 page, and the Finale is now on the DW2 page. |
