Left This was the winding staircase inside Azay le Rideau. The rooms were very dark, but you could still see every detail in the art on the walls, floor and furniture. The winding staircase was my favorite thing in this castle! | |||||||
| Right This was my favorite castle. It is called Chenonceau. This castle was built almost entirely over a river. | ![]() |

| Left The inside of Chenonceau is just as beautiful as the outside! | ||||||||

| Left This is Mount Saint Michael in the northern part of France. When the tide comes in this abbey becomes completely surrounded by water. There are still 3 brothers and 1 sister who practice their religion there. Probably the neatest part of climbing to the top of the abbey is the shops that line the path. You could find almost everything there including the best chocolate crepes around!!! | ||||||||
| Left This is Pointe Du Hoc -- one of the places the allies began their invasion to reclaim France from the Germans. One of the coolest things about my France trip was being in Normandy on the day after the 55th anniversary of D-Day. | ||||||||
