Math Teacher
Introduction
I have been a math teacher at Antelope Valley High School for five years.  I love being a high school teacher and I love teenagers.  To me, being a teenager and completing high school can, and should, be one of the most significant times of your life.
This web page is designed to help you learn about how to be successful in my class, how to be successful in math, how to be successful as a student, and how I function as a teacher.  I will also give you a little advice from my perspective as a teacher.
Being a student is a lot more that just learning academic subjects.  As a student you will learn how you learn and function as a person.  You will also learn skills that you will be able to use throughout your life.  You will also learn a lot about interacting with others.  The social skills that you acquire as a teenager may often determine your success or failure in all your other relationships both during and after high school.
While you are in high school, you can and will learn many things besides just subject matter.  In fact, there is no way I can teach you everything you need to know about math.  The goal is to teach you how to learn.
One thing you can learn from me right away is about the "Top Dog Syndrome" by clicking on the link under the picture.
