The "Top Dog" Phenomenon | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| The 'Top Dog' Phenomenon is something that a student experiences when he makes the transition from either middle school to high school or from high school to college. When you were in the 8th grade you were a 'top dog' because you were an upper class man. But when you move to be a freshman in high school, you become the 'under dog' because you are a lower classman. The same will be true when you become a senior in high school and move on to become a freshman in college, and, finally, when you enter the workforce. Everybody wants to be the 'Top Dog.' But what makes a person the 'Top Dog?' There's a lot of people who can give the appearance that they are a 'Top Dog.' But are they, really? Let's take a look at two 'Top Dogs' in American culture.
