6/30/98 Sadly, we lost the pup = ( Today I moved Eve's babies into the pup tank.
6/28/98 Surprise!
6/24/98 Adia had babies!! Sadly I think we've lost Phoebe's pup = ( Looks like there won't be many babies around here for awhile. That's not SUCH a bad thing, because I still have a few up for adoption, but it looks like Gemedet will be alone for a while as her mom's new litter seems to be all pink-eyed. Well I'm getting a new gerbil next week! A little light DEH named Hafwen. She'll probably keep Gemi company until her mate is born, since Hafwen's mate won't be here for a while either! I'm also getting a light colorpoint nutmeg next week or the week after, named Lilith. Again she has no mate yet = )
6/22/98 Ooops I was mistaken! Phoebe had TWO pups, but unfortunately one was stillborn = ( The other one is hanging in there. Today I got a 30 gallon or so aquarium for free! It is now the Pup Tank. Check out the wee ones in it, ready for a new home = )
6/21/98 Phoebe had 1 pup today! = ( I wish Adia would hurry up and have some pups so I could foster it, but she's skinny as a stick = ( Won't be expecting anything from her for at least another week or two, even though it's been 44 days. Or else she'll have a small litter too which would really stink. Eve is due on the 10th of July BTW. I am getting a BIG tank today or tomorrow (or soon at least) for a pup tank, it should be cool = )
6/16/98 More grandkids for Phoebe & Ciaran yesterday! This time from Circle. Today I added new pictures to the Color Spectrum, and to Adair & Danziger's page.
6/14/98 **Happy 2 year birthday Ben, Monny, and Phoebe!!!** In honor of this special day I have put a new pic of Phoebe on her page and some pics of Ben & Monny on theirs. Also, Agana and Devoka went to their new home yesterday. 3 of Adia's babies are still looking for homes; see the adoption page for more details. Oh I'm probably going to get 2 new gerbils soon. One is going to be named "Hafwen" and will be a very, very faded DEH (she's one of Lisa's) and one is a "light colorpoint nutmeg", who is coming from Kitt. I want to name her Lilith. I need some new tanks now. Maybe Sara Andux has some to spare, she's bringing down some gerbils for me to ship for her soon.
6/12/98 Lisa sent me some photos! There are 2 pics of Circle on the Lautrera Litter #5 page. Also Lisa has some mystery gerbils. She mailed me pictures of them as well. She's trying to figure out what they might be and I haven't a clue. I think they're something new. If you want to see them let me know and I'll get them to you (they're scanned).
6/11/98 WAHOO! No more school! = ) Today I added (in addition to the regular pics of the recent 3 litters) a new picture to Eve & Reilly's page. Also, today, just before my final science exam, Mrs. Gabbert finally received her gerbils, Witness and Harvey. She thinks they're sooooo cute. Adia should have another litter in the next week or two. She's not terribly big, so I hope she doesn't have only 2! = ( That would mean that Gemedet and Selene will be together for awhile waiting for boyfriends! Adair & Danziger are now about 4 months old. I wonder when they'll have a litter? = )
6/9/98 Adia's litter is still looking for homes (well, some of them are). See my adoption page for more info. I added a page for Gemedet, though she hasn't moved out yet. Argh I hate finals! Sorry that needed to be said = ) Oh and I updated the links.
6/7/98 Uhhh well not much going on = ) BTW you all DO realize I'm posting daily pics on the litter pages. Good. Just so you're not left out. Anyway, Adia will probably have a 2nd litter in about 2 weeks. Her babies are available for adoption to those of you who live in the USA. The ones available are 2 female agouti spots, 2 female blacks, and possibly a male black spot. Anywho this week is finals, so I must go and "study" = )
6/4/98 Yesterday Becky arrived safely in NY with Kate. Soon Kate will have a page for her (her new name is "Hope") with some pictures that I took prior to their departure. Sierra & Whisper also went with her. Not too much else happening = )
5/31/98 LOL I almost wrote 6/1 I didn't realize there was a 31st of May = ) Silly me. Anyway, I changed the format of the Breeder Listing, please list yourself if you breed. I also added the usual pics to the babies' pages.
5/28/98 We have 2 visitors at the Dani Clan! They are Whisper and Sierra, soon to be owned by Kate, as is Becky. They'll be sent to NY in a few days, or maybe tomorrow, depending on time. I added a new picture to Dana & Fox's page, and of course updated pictures for the new babies, the slightly less new babies, and of course the not-too-new-but-still-gosh-darn-cute-babies. I also updated the memorial page--and no, nobody died.
5/23/98 John and Mary got picked up by Mia today = ) They ought to start a family shortly. Lautrera-Reillys! ;) The other members of Reilly litter 1 will all be gone by around Tuesday = ( Eve's new litter is A-ok much to my surprise (and elation!). I added a new pic of Ciaran to his page, as well as a new pic of Adia on hers.
5/21/98 Eve had babies today!! All of her first litter now have homes. Y'know, Phoebe, Ben, and Monny will be 2 years old next months. My babies!! ::sniffle:: So grown up!
5/19/98 My server was down all yesterday so I didn't get a chance to add new pics to the new babies' page or the slightly less new babies' page, but they're up now along with today's. Madison and Debrah from Eve's first litter left for their new home with Sabrina Kinard last weekend. They live in the same house (but not the same tank) as Beta & Gamma Dani, from Missy's first litter! Who are still alive and well BTW, at 2 1/2 years old. Doin' their dad proud. There is only one of Eve's babies that needs a new home now, John, the schimmel runt boy. He's still a little small but he'll be a great (and cute!) pet. I'll probably match him up with Devoka from Adia's litter as he's the only male I've got even close in age, for however wants them. For now he's with mom & dad, who will have another litter anytime this week, probably.
5/14/98 Phoebe had 6 pups! Whatta gal = )
5/12/98 Phoebe is due tomorrow = ) I'm guessing 4 or 5 probably. No babies from Eve and likely not for a while either. Hmmmm . . . The Lautrera family & the Reilly family were joined in holy matrimony today as I introduce Mary Lautrera & John Reilly (for someone who's adopting them = ). Take a look at the happy new couple, the "Lautrera-Reillys". I'm going to get my gerbils pedigrees soon. And so from now on I'd ask that if anybody adopts from me and registers with the Gerbil Club of Missouri (the only "real" gerbil club in the USA at the moment) they register the gerbs under the name I gave them, or at least put TDC in the beginning. This is just because I hope that if someday the pedigree thing catches on, I might adopt a gerbil that has "TDC's xxxxx" in their pedigree = )
5/11/98 I updated the Lautrera Litter 5 page, added a few last pics to the Reilly Litter #1 page, and of course got new pics of the babies.
5/10/98 The new babies are doing great, they're all still with us = ) I'll probably give them names by next weekend, when they're about 9 days old. I have some in mind = ) I of course added new pics & some news. Eve's first litter is seeking homes now, three schimmel M's and one schimmel F need great homes. That's John, Jesse, Sullivan, and Debrah. More details on the adoption page.
5/8/98 Happy birthday to me!!!!!! Adia had SEVEN pups while I was at school! See their page for more details. I think there are some things I forgot to update but I'll think about that on Sunday as it's very late tonight and I have to wake up early tomorrow = ) I got some pics up but I might not have any for tomorrow (because I'm going to NYC). You'll notice the past few days' news are missing. That's because it's saved only on Geocities' server and I didn't feel like going back and getting it all again because nothing terribly important happened = )
