1.  In groups of five (5) formed by your teacher, you must choose a candidate (with your teacher's approval).  Then, compile a 5-6 page report that covers the topics listed below.  

• a brief biography
• a description of their impact on today’s Detroit
• draw parallels to today’s Detroit (e.g., automobile production cuts occurring today compared to those made during the Great Depression) Do not use an automotive example!  
• identify places to see the candidates local history
• explain potential controversies surrounding the nomination of this person.

2.  Using the report, put together a 10 minute presentation (must include visuals).  Each member must speak to the area they covered in the report.
