Chris Jericho, one day removed from becoming the first undisputed champion, was going to be presented with his titles by the Nature Boy, Ric Flair to kick off Raw. Flair called down Y2J, and Jericho mocked a Hollywood award acceptance speech. Though Jericho was overjoyed at the presentation, he was not thrilled with the fact that he would have to defend his championship in a Steel Cage against Stone Cold Steve Austin. Ric Flair concluded with his trademark, "WOOOOOOOOO!"
After defeating RVD for the Hardcore Title at Vengeance, The Undertaker defended his title against Spike Dudley. Spike had almost no chance and the match mericfully (well, not for Spike) ended with a Last Ride on a garbage can.
As Mr. McMahon and Booker T came surrounded by security, Ric informed Vince of the title match, but Vince added his own match: the Rock and Trish Stratus vs. The Dudleyz for the Tag Titles.
Kurt Angle came out and talked about why he challenged Rikishi to a match: to protect Vince's honor. The giant Samoan came out, but quickly got German Suplexed. Rikishi recovered and went for the Stink Face, but Angle escaped and intentionally got counted out. Angle attacked Rikishi when he started dancing, but the Olympic Hero got a Stink Face for his efforts. Rikishi resumed dancing, but got chair shots from Angle.
Buh Buh Ray looked really nervous because he and D-Von were facing an undefeated tag team, but he was just joking.
Lance Storm came in and petitioned Ric Flair for a match, but Flair said no.
Edge began mocking William Regal (whom Edge defeated at Vengeance) with an English accent, but got blindsided by Regal with those brass knuckles.
Prior to his match with Kane, the ref searched William Regal for the brass knuckles, but didn't find them. Kane was in control for most of the match, but went down with a shot from the Brass Knuckles Regal "found" by the ring.
Trish and the Rock challenged the Dudleyz for the Tag Titles in what really was a handicap match for the Rock. Though he received a beating early in the match, the Rock came back and let Trish hit a flying headbutt on D-Von and Stacy Kiebler. Test came out and attacked the Rock, leaving Trish alone to receive a 3D. Rock gave Buh Buh a Rock Bottom, but Test recovered to hit the Rock with the Big Boot.
Mr. McMahon replaced the Vince McMahon kiss my A** club to the Vince McMahon kicked your A** club.
Lita tried to talk to Matt before their handicap match, but Matt said that he and Lita were breaking up.
Jeff Hardy and Lita faced off against Matt in a handicap match that primarily was Jeff vs. Matt. Lita got involved with a Litacanrana, but Matt avoided Jeff's Swanton Bomb. Matt then rolled up Lita to get a 1-2-3.
Ric Flair finally conceded to give Lance Storm a match, against the Big Show! Big Show was unfazed by Lance Storm and hit the Chokeslam to end it.
Stone Cold replayed his thoughts throughout the day to the crowd: While eating a variety of food with some alcoholic beverages, Austin came to the conclusion that he wanted both Booker T and Y2J on Raw.
Stone Cold assaulted Chris Jericho before they even got in the steel cage. Austin opened up a can of whoop a**, and started bashing Y2J against the cage. Jericho recovered, however, and hit a Stunner on Austin, but couldn't quite escape the cage. Following a huge Spinebuster, a bloody and battered Jericho flicked off Austin, who was going to walk out of the cage and win. Austin beat him down some more, then hit a Stunner. Jericho was out cold, but Austin was prevented from escaping by the door getting slammed on his head by Booker T. Jericho crawled out and had both of his feet hit the floor to end it.

Smackdown started with William Regal and Kurt Angle facing Rikishi and Edge in a tag team match. Rikishi started getting double teamed, but Edge saved him and won the match with a Spear to Regal. Rikishi got a shot with the Brass Knuckles following Stink Faces to Angle and Regal, but Edge hit Regal with the Edgecution on a steel chair, possibly breaking Regal's nose.
Mr. McMahon and Booker T were again accompanied by a security detail and all was wary when Ric Flair approached. Flair just wanted to show Vince to his suite in an attempt for them to work better together.
Test approached Lita about going out on a date, but Lita said she'd rather be alone. Lita heard Test's line about forgetting about the rest, but was surprised when Jeff Hardy showed up. Jeff challenged Test to a match, which the big man accepted.
Tajiri put the light heavyweight title on the line against Crash. Tajiri locked on the Tarantula, but crashed ducked a KO Kick. Crash went for a Huricanrana pin, but Tajiri countered and later hit one of his own to end the match. While Tajiri and Torrie Wilson celebrated, Crash took out Tajiri from behind and wouldn't let Torrie escape. Suddenly, the lights went out. When they came back on, Crash saw the Hurricane perched on the top rope. Hurricane delivered a body splash and Hurricane's version of the Final Cut (in WCW as Sugar Shane the move was the Nightmare on Helms' Street) and gave Torrie a thumbs up sign.
Mr. McMahon and Booker T were interrupted by a food delivery, but Booker realized it was meant for Austin so McMahon and Booker ate the food.
Test battled with Jeff Hardy in a match made earlier in the night. Lita hit the Litacanrana on Test, but Test shoved Hebner into the ropes to thwart Jeff's Swanton. Test got disqualified and then punched out Earl Hebner. Then, the Great One came out and gave Test the Rock Bottom in payback for Monday.
Matt Hardy was playing cards with the APA and was getting annoyed by Faarooq's questions about Lita. Then, Bradshaw made a comment about Jeff and Lita that made Matt destroy the APA's office and challenge Bradshaw to a match.
Responding to a fire caused by one of the workers earlier, several fire fighters arrived to investigate. Though McMahon insulted them, he had no idea that one of them was Stone Cold Steve Austin! He took out Vince and started chasing Booker T through the Arena. Booker escaped in the limo, but Austin got in his pick up truck to follow him.
In Lance Storm's last chance to get a job, he faced Kane. Kane just Chokeslammed him to end the match.
Christian and the Dudley Boyz faced off against Scotty Too Hotty, Albert, and Tazz. After some back and forth action, Tazz got the win by making Buh Buh submit to the Tazzmission.
Mr. McMahon was talking to Booker, who had stopped off at a supermarket to ditch Stone Cold. However, he turned off the phone when he saw Stone Cold's truck.
Matt Hardy battled Bradshaw and hit a Tornado DDT, but couldn't get the win. After some counters, Bradshaw hit the Clothesline from Hell to end the match.
Ric Flair walked into Vince's office while talking on the phone. Ric handed the phone to Vince and said it was Stone Cold! Stone Cold told Vince he was at the Supermarket where Booker T was, and was going to check it out.
Booker saw a bald headed figure in a black shirt and took him out, but it wasn't Austin. The Rattlesnake opened a can of beer behind Booker, and then opened a can of whoop a** on Booker. Booker got tossed, thrown, whipped throughout the store, and had tons of food thrown at him by the Rattlesnake. Booker managed to recover and toss Austin in the freezer, but Austin just walked out the customer section and finished beating the heck out of the Booker Man. Austin left Booker in a heap when he heard the police sirens. Ric Flair lauged while Vince looked stunned.
In the Main Event, The Undertaker and Chris Jericho faced off against the Rock and Rob Van Dam. RVD got isolated, but the Rock came in and gave Y2J a People's Elbow, but the Undertaker pulled the ref out of the ring. RVD missed the Five Star Frog Splash on Jericho and then got put in the Walls of Jericho. The Rock saved him and then battled with the Undertaker. Jericho got a chair, but RVD recovered and hit the Van Daminator on Jericho with the chair to end the match.
