EMPOWERMENT |
Vukezenzele Textile Business consists of nine people who have drawn on extensive skills gained over the years at Dakawa Centre. Vukuzenzele produces a wide range of product from the fabric which they have designed and silk-screened. They also produce specially commissioned banners and T-shirts for school, company and sporting groups. The designs can be rendered in block printing, potato printing, stencil, batik, flour resist; and the workshop is well-equipped for dyeing fabric in a full spectrum of colour. Vukuzenzele also aims to stay involved with teaching in the local schools and in the community in general. Members of Vukuzenzele Textile are: Treasurer Xolela Sajini, Assistant Treasurer Mirriam Ncanywa, Production Co-ordinator Ncediwe Tana, Promotions Co-ordinator Nthombentsha Centwa, Marketing Co-ordinator Mzukisi Dyaloyi, Seamstress Pamela Wayi, Designers Welile Nika and Papama Lubelwana, and members Edith Bukani and Vukile Teyise. |
