they were some thoughts about gay people dat surprisingly came from gay people. some people are just FREAKS and yeah. but this page is really about me and my life wif hiv. first of all, da basics.
so what is hiv? aids is a disease caused by da hiv ( da human immuno-deficiency virus ). its a virus dat people can get infected wif, and then pass on to other people.
so you didnt know i had it rite? of course you didnt. when someone becomes infected, da virus attacks dere immune system, which is of course da bodys defense against illnesses and stuff!! someone whos infected mite not even know it. you look normal (lol.. well, not ALL people look normal, virus or no virus!!) and feel perfectly fine. they then become vulnerable to all these illnesses as da immune system basically weakens.
when is person is infected wif hiv, they are likely to as time goes by, get ill more and more often!! a person is said to have aids (acquired immune defiency syndrome) when they develop on of a number of particularly severe illnesses (which ISNT me thank god!!)

so how do people get it? hiv is present in all da sexual fluids and blood of infected peoples. dats why when you have unprotected sex, share needles, or drink someones piss, youre chances of being infected are soo high its just not funnie!! due to some belief tho, you cant get hiv from da following..
sharing knives and forks
insect/animal bites
touching, hugging or shaking hands
eating food prepared by someone wif hiv
kissing someone on da cheek, (social kissing) doesnt have a risk of giving you hiv. deep or open mouthed kissing is considered a very low risk activity for transmission of hiv. this is cos hiv is present in saliva but only in very minute (my NUTE not MINite lol!!) quantities, not enuf to lead to HIV infection alone.
so some symptoms now? sure. dere arent really any set symptoms. most people catch da flu or something like dat shortly after infection. dramatic loss of weight, brain and nervous system out of sync, sometimes even cancer can result, cos of da immune system not working properly!! but really, da only way you can tell if you or someone else has it, is to have an hiv antibody test!
hmmmm.. so how did i know? well.. i did catch da flu a while ago. and i passed dat on to soo many people in my class.. all da people who were around me got it.. ( well, dat is everyone but simon!! ). and as for da weight loss thing.. whatever.
