Rurouni Kenshin is an anime and a manga that takes place during Japan's Meji era(1867). Rurouni Kenshin has one of the most compelling and greatest story I've ever seen and read. It is about a samurai called Kenshin Himoura aka Hitokiri Battousai(Murderer) who fauught for the Meji government during the Japanese revolution. After Kenshin finishes his job he leaves the war and becomes a wanderer for ten years
until he goes to Tokyo and comes across a lady who is a swordsmanship instructor by the name of Kaoru.Back to main page

Well, here we are being introduced to the first four episodes of Rurouni Kenshin. Now right off the bat, the first episode isn't what I call a great episode to start off the series, but don't loose hope it gets way better. As we move on to meeting the other characters, Sano and Yahiko, the series starts to get more interesting, and if you have any taste at all, you will see how interesting it is too. In the fourth episode, we meet Sanosoke who's a real gangster-type person. He thinks he's got a chance of beating Kenshin but he's doesn't even stand a chance in hell.

These episodes are the beggining of the great episodes to come in the series. First off, we've got the first real battle with Kenshin against his first major enemy, Jine. Jine is the first guy who can actually touch Kenshin. In fact his skill rivals Kenshin so much that Kenshin has to revert to his darker side the Battoussai he left behind ten years ago because Jine actually came and kidnapped Kenshin's girl Kaoru so he can revert Kenshin back to Battoussai the Man Slayer form. I like Kenshin when he doesn't care about anyones life. The other characters, especially Kaoru, would rather have the nice, sweet, in-control Kenshin.To sum it all up DO NOT MISS THESE EPISODES.
