| October 7, 2004 Blog from OZ. Middle of the day, but am still trying to talk myself into working. Australia itself is a fun city, but have not been able to go around and see a lot of sites. Way too much work is how I'd like to excuse myself from exerting efforts to do any stressful activity, but it's just plain laziness. It's just easier to curl around the sofa and vege out. So far here's the things I've learned while in Oz. 1. If you can shorten words and rhyme at the same time, you're going to fit in. For example: "Let's have brekkie at the quarry, and see the roos at the zoo." 2. People don't shop after 6, nor do they need to eat after 3pm. That's why all shops close at 6 and eating places at 3. 3. For the cost of a movie, you can buy a vcd and a meal. 4. An average meal can be shared by 2 healthy individuals. 5. Patience is a virtue. If you saw an item you really love, return to the store a week after and it will be on sale. |
