I have been commissioned by various clients since my senior year in high school, which totals about 5 years. Since then, I have created commissioned pieces of all sorts of sizes. The piece shown above is a very large painting of an Italian street commissioned by an avid lover of all things Italian. That was definitely a piece that took many hours, but it was well worth the wait. One of my favorite commissions, "Desert Tortoise," was commissioned by Tuacahn Center for the Arts and now resides inside of one of the condos in the actor housing on site. I love that painting because of how big it is (three-by-four feet) and that it was my first commission that I added glitter to! If you know me personally, you know that I very much love glitter. You can often see glitter on my eyeshadow, on my clothes, on my car, in my room, on my shoes, etc. Combining glitter and paint was a magical combination.

My most popular commissions are by far pet portraits, especially dog portraits. I have done a good mix of realistically colored portraits and portraits with abstract, bold colors. This is all completely up to the client. However, when a client cannot decide between a realistic colored portrait or an abstract colored portrait, I always recommend an abstract colored portrait. These fun colors allow for the pet or person being depicted in the portrait to be seen in a whole new light! Anyone that might walk into your house and see a bright, fun portrait will be sure to comment on it and start a conversation!

My Fluffy Dog portrait with a pungent lime green background currently resides at the chic Alfonso's Salon in Seattle. I am told that it sparks conversations all the time!
