SHARIA LAW26.03.2003 This is incredible, that in the modern world there
still exists a terrible law, which brutalizes human race, and the
worse it’s on the rise. Sharia Law is mostly seen and identified
with corporal punishment like flogging and stoning. In the 21st
century we allow such a law to exist and we do nothing to stop that
madness of injustice and cruelty. As part of national community we
tolerate and agree that other countries introduce such barbaric
law. But most of all, we keep a very good relation with these
nations, knowing that this law brutalize, torture and humiliates people.
That is simply terrorism. What the Australian
Government and all the democratic countries do for protecting
people from such abuse and unfairness? Absolutely nothing. Australia
is so proud of their achievements in the justice department than
why does the Federal Government do nothing to protect their own
citizens being brutalized by Sharia Law. Our citizen is being flogged
in Saudi Arabia for a “crime”, which sadly in his situation he
didn’t commit, but worst, he wasn’t guilty of any crime. He was
punished, because his wife was accused for the crime, which she denied. I
don’t understand why our Government did nothing for protection
and fight for an innocent citizen like Robert Thomas. That is
unbelievable that we have committed our troops to the war against
Iraq, because we have to fight with the dictator Saddam Hussein, who
is described as the worst torturer and killer of own people. But Mr. John Howard did
nothing to fight against Saudi Arabia for torturing Australian
citizen. I don’t know precisely where justice is. The Australian Government
likes talking about peace, justice and freedom for Iraqi people but
on other hand they don’t want to help freeing their own citizens
from unjust and torture. John Howard and his ministerial cabinet
think that our people can be flogged, tortured and imprisoned
without justification. Perhaps they are looking forward to see that
undemocratic behavior in Australia. Opposition Leader to the
Federal Government said that is sad and immoral that we have
committed our soldiers to the war with Iraq. I would say that it is sad
and immoral that the government likes to be involved in the war to help
other people, but not our own citizens. When the war in Iraq had
begun, we found out about the intention of our Prime Minister, that
life of our citizens are not on the agenda of the Australian Government.
Justice and liberty should be done and fully protected by
Government firstly for own citizens, after that we can proudly involve
ourselves to free other countries from any dictatorships on the other
side of the globe. Please go to see my previous
