For Your Information
Weddings:
If you are planning your wedding and would like a fanfare for the arrival of the bride, Cyprus Brass is the perfect choice.
We have also got the two most famous wedding marches arranged for us if you would like to be very traditional.
If you want to stay classical we have plenty of alternatives. If you want something a little different, either check out
Our Repertoire and choose something from there, or tell us what you would like and one of us can arrange the music for Cyprus Brass.
We know that the Greek Orthodox church does not allow music in the church but we can play outside the church before the bride enters - we are perfectly audible in the church!

Composers:
Any composers with ideas for writing for Cyprus Brass are most welcome. We like to try out new music. Please check out our
Brass Instruments page for information on the instruments, how they are played and how to write for them. The scoring for Cyprus Brass is generally two trumpets, one horn and one trombone but can occasionally be altered depending on the musicians visiting Cyprus. Please contact us to arrange details before you begin writing!

The rest of the world:
We are willing to travel to wherever you are. However, if you live outside of Cyprus you will be expected to pay for all our travelling expenses.

Availability:
Cyprus Brass is not our first or only job. This is good and bad.
It means that we chose to put this group together and we enjoy what we do.
We are good at what we do and we like to play for anyone in any occasion so you get the best of us!
The down side is that we have other commitments.
If we have a conflict between your dates and the dates already in the diary we will do our best to either:
- re-arrange our dates to suit you,
- negotiate an alternate date,
- or find replacement professional musicians for the group to accommodate you.

Concert dress:
Our concert dress is traditionally 'all black' but if you have something you would like us to wear, as long as it is at no extra cost to ourselves, we are open minded to most ideas. (Within reason!)

Test drive:
We are in the process of putting together an informal recording of Cyprus Brass for people to hear what we can do, but please feel free to come and listen to a rehearsal if you are apprehensive about booking us.
Contact us to set this up.

Non-musicians:
For those of you that are not musicians it is important for you to be aware that wind and brass players need more breaks than string or piano players.
We are quite happy to do an hours recital but it is virtually impossible for us to do four hours continuous background music without regular breaks.
We are giving our lip muscles a good workout when we play and like any trip to the gym we need to stop sometimes to regain strength.
This doesn't mean we are incapable of a days playing, on the contrary, it just means that we need regular breaks to be able to keep playing for any considerable length of time.
