James E. Martin Sr. (my father) married Muriel Bolman and together they had six children: James, Karien, Alfred, Cynthia, Douglas, and Wendy.

William married 5 times and had two children: Cathy and William.

Dee Ora Martin's History

Dee Ora Lakins was born March 22, 1897 in a small town in Kentucky. 

Dee Ora Martin put herself through beauty college then moved to San Diego where she opened her own beauty shop in Hill Crest. Anne Bolman was one of her patrons. Dee Ora loved to talk, and tell stories because of this she had plenty of patrons. 
 
Dee Ora Martin divorced her husband years later because he was a womanizer. Dee Ora never remarried, although, there were many proposals.  She was a party girl and she liked her freedom...she didn't like picking up after men then again what woman does.  

Habits:
Dee Ora Martin dominated most conversations, yet people didn't seem to mind.  As a child I remember her talking for hours upon hours.  Dee was an excellent cook and decorator. She had many hobbies, gardening, painting, upholstery, sewing, and knitting.  I remember she made me a light brown dress with a big red apple on it when I was in the sixth grade.  I loved that skirt.  Dee was a good grandmother, she took James, Alfred, and I to Disneyland and to the San Diego Zoo. 

Ora Delona's brothers and sisters

Mary Agnes born December 20, 1890 Died (stroke) February 28, 1965. Married H. S. Lancaster (born 1888 died 1962 he was one of  6 children). Children: Earl Nathaniel, John Leslie (John L.) Ingram Hodges, Randall Lee "Buddy", Delona Cero, Virgil, Ella Louise "Babe" Alice Moudeen.

John William (nick name Jack) born July 27, 1893.

Dee was born March 22, 1896.

Vera Lee born January 16, 1899 in Henderson Kentucky. Married twice first husband Walter Flack with whom she had two children. Walter Jr. and Ora. Second husband James Parks with him she had twins- Donald and Dorothy, Ora, Alta and Jackie. Vera died in 1955 of breast cancer, she was age 56.

Thomas Ingram born December 30, 1902 died 1906.

Daisy Ann born October 18, 1904 in Henderson Kentucky. Married once, husband William Hayden. Daisy's & William's children: Norman, Stanley and Barbara and Harry. Harry Leslie Hayden was William's first child from a previous.

Harry Lannie born October 18, 1907 was still born.

Carrie Dannie born December 18, 1907 was still born.

Dee's father John Likins born 1815.

Dee's mother Betsy Jane Elm (Likins) born 1819.
