Elizabeth Smith met Kenneth Bolman while walking on Coney's Islands boardwalk. Grandpa Bolman told me that it was love at first sight. After a short courtship, they married, moved to San Diego California, and had four children one of the four children was my mother--Muriel. See pictures below:

After high school, Anne worked as a proofreader for a book publishing company in New York and as a nurse’s aide for the Red Cross during World War I. She met the man she would later marry at Coney's Island Amusement Park. After the war, Anne married Kenneth Bolman and became a housewife. The couple moved to San Diego California. All four of Bolman children were born at Mercy Hospital in San Diego. Kenneth Bolman bought a house in Encinitas when he retired. There they lived until they died. Anne had five great loves, her husband, children, reading, traveling, and ice cream. In the 80’s, Anne had several strokes that left her unable to walk, read, or concentrate. Because of this she began to gain weight until she was so big her husband could no longer care for her. Her husband placed Anne in a convalescent center 1982 begrudgingly. Kenneth then went to the hospital every day to supervise her care. He was at her side there from sunup to sundown. Anne died she was in 1985 with her husband by her side. He died two years later at age 92.
