Cyco-Dude's crappy website

11-16-2002

ok, FINALLY, all of the pages are redone. i've tweaked the code a little bit so the site should look the same in both Netscape and Internet Explorer. also, the images in my Radeon 8500 and vid-cooling pages have been optimized making the file size as much as 70% smaller, so that should make those pages load faster than befor. maybe some time this month i'll start writing my Maelstrom review. and maybe monkeys will fly outta my ass, lol

10-15-2002

well i was hoping to have the other 2 pages done by now, but my hdd is giving my trouble (again....grrrr....) and i cant even get my damn floppy drive to work!! LOL!!! so there will be a few delays. if i have to i'll update the pages from school lol. and just FYI, my browser of choice is Mozilla 1.01, which is what Netscape 7.0 is based off of. i also have IE 5.0 on my comp and i do try to make my site look acceptable in that browser as well (im using 5.5 at school now; looks the same as 5.0 as far as i can tell). IE 6.0 didnt put my right margin image links in for some reason (no clue why) so make sure you have the lastest version browser if you're using IE 6. i dont have Opera so no support there lol.

been playing a lot of Threewave CTFS. definitely check it out if you're into Q3. good fun. grab the X3 and ctfs mappaks too while you're at it, as most servers now have them in rotation and mebbe i'll c u on a server (or not lol)

10-07-2002

WELL HOT SH*T! AN UPDATE!!! as you can see, the site is getting a facelift. im redoing it using the XHTML 1.0 strict DTD and style sheets using notepad. LOL old-sko0L baby. the code is a LOT cleaner then it was befor (sucky geoshitties pagebuilder, lol), and the site looks better to boot. it'll be a few days until i get the other pages done, but they will get done. not that it matters, since no-1 even comes here (hell, I dont even come here lol). also, make sure you're using the latest version of your browser, as older version may not fully understand the XHTML strict DTD that im using.

as far as my water-cooling / casemodding thing goes, well....it stalled. LOL! i had the watercooling gear on tho for a couple months; temps were good (no kidding?? lol). o well, i got things to do, peace...

04-06-2002

hiya folks (lol, yeah right, nobody comes here, who the hell am i kidding? ;P). anyhow, my watercooling gear from Danger Den came in 4 days ago, and ive been hacking away on my case to mount everything. there still a couple more things i need to plan out / build, but its coming along. hmm...what else...painting is coming along as well. i still need to do the second color on my side panels (as well as paint the front bezel and my CD-ROM faces, but i wont do that until the bezel is done getting hacked lol), but the top panel is about done. just gotta sand and put another coat of clear laquer on, and i think it'll be done, we'll see...anyhow, just keeping you updated. or, just wasting my time typing this, its all good lol

03-22-2002

ok foks, i got something on my crappy R8500 page (finally! lol). just a pic of my mods, and some tips you should know if you ever plan to mod your vid-card. so go check it out, damn you! my case-mods are slooooooowly coming along; i got most of my case-mod stuff in (just waiting for the watercooling gear to come in now), and i did the top blowhole today (looks cool with the atomic laser-cut fan grill i got). now i just have to hack the front of my case, and paint this sucker, and it'll be done (for the time being).

03-17-2002

i've updated my crappy site, this time with an article showing you how to mod your video card's heatsink! so go read it you bastards!! 56k users beware, i haven't resized my pics (so they are all full-size). i'll take care of that as soon as i get PSP working again (ghey 30-day trials), and i'll start on my next project sometime this week maybe, if i find the stuff i need to get it done right. it involves a network card, and my keyboard, and thats all i'll say ;P stay tuned! and maybe someday i'll put something on my Radeon 8500 page lol.

03-09-2002

wow, an update! LOL!! yes, i've been slackin, but hey, theres a REASON why this is a crappy site ;P been playing with more drivers for my Radeon 8500; they're goin in the right direction. now if they could fix SMOOTHVISION in OpenGL, use trilinear anistropic filtering, and fix the mip-mapping in D3D, i'd be set. i've also added some banner-link things to the right as you can see; i'll add more as i get / make them. i've been hanging around ProCooling and their forums lately; i'm about ready to take the plung and watercool my rig. it'll be sweet, i promise (i dont do half-assed jobs :D ).

01-15-2002

i've finished my first modding article, so go check it out! it covers the installation of the PCmods oval window kit and cold cathode light kit. i'll try to finish my paintjob, but its a pain with classes and all...

ok ppl, ive uploaded pics of my Q3 CTF level. its in the maps section; just click on the link to the left. i'll upload pics of my ongoing case-mods, as well as write up what exactly i've done. kinda like a how-to guide. i'll also post some pics comparing the FSAA of the Radeon 8500 with the stock drivers, and with the SMOOTHVISION-enabled drivers. stay tuned...or not, i dont really care lol!

12-24-2001

i've scanned the pics of my rig showing of some cool schtuff from PCmods. now i just gotta figure out how to resize the damn things...they're like 1700x1100 pixels in size o_O.

i uploaded the beta of my Q3 CTF map. unzip the file into your Quake3/baseq3 folder; the map should appear with the other CTF maps. i'll hook up my scanner later today and upload pics of my rig (i'm in the middle of painting it now).

11-21-2001

well, this is my crappy little hole on the 'net. i'll put some hardware articles up sometime, with plenty of pics. maybe my Q3 levels if i can figure out how to download files off of here. i'll also play around with this site, and adjust it so it looks better at a res of 1024 x 768.

i might try to get another website, one with my real name instead of "cyc0_dud3". but i think some-1 already took "cyco_dude". faggot. LOL!! oh well, i still have my Homestead webpage. damn they suck, only 8 megs of space and a maximum of 3 pages per site.

  whatever, visit me at PlanetHardware.
