A successful, exciting and emotional food basket exchange occurred June 14th, at the Catholic Charities location in Oakland. Ms. Thompson and two of her six children were present for the food basket exchange. and details for the next food basket exchange have been set.
The date of the next exchange will be on Monday, July 8th. The family situation is another singer mother, Olivia has two small children (3-year old boy & 1-year old girl). Her first language is Spanish and her 1-year old daughter was recently hospitalized. This exchange plans to be another exciting opportunity and would like to invite two to three CYA members (non-Steering committee) to participate. It may be summer, but us young adult Catholics are still active growing in our faith, serving our community, and having fun. We have a Pool Party early this month as well as our annual Luau in August. More to come...just keep in touch with us.
