So...this is the daghem I went to. "Daghem" is the word "kindergarten" in Swedish. It's strange..right?^^ Adults on the left and right side, they are the teachers and the other small kids are my friends. And that's me....looking at the camera. The most interesting thing in daghem is that there is a nap time everyday, after lunch time. You have to sleep everyday in kindergarten. |

Today is my birthday~~~~ You see the balloons?? These people my friends and teachers and the boy beside me is my younger brother. We were the only Koreans and also the only Asians in our kindergarten. Sweden was not that popular for Koreans at that time. I think...at that time I was better in Swedish and English than Korean^^ |

This is the other kindergarten I went. It's a Montesori School..I think most of you have at least once heard of this name. This kindergarten is an international one, so here I met many friends from different countries. As you see the picture, you'll see a big fish on the wall. This day is "Childrens' Day" in Japan, just like ours in Korea 5th of May. We always try to find out traditonal things about other country and practice some of the custom. I have many interesting and wonderful memories in my life. |

Now...here we are at my elementary school~~~ I attended an international school, so I spoke English, not Swedish. Most of my friends were from America and Canada..but also from many other European, African or Asian countries. I also had North Korean friends..it was really funny and interesting to hear them speak^^ The name of this school is "Rodaberg Skolan" which means "Red Mountain School" As you can see.. the school locates in a high place.. There are a lot of stairs..that's the mountain..(maybe~ I guess^^) And the red building is my school~ |

When a grade ends, we have this kind of ceremony..like in Korea. All of the students and teachers prepare a parade towards a church which is not that far from the school. Many families come to school this day.. Isn't it interesting that we go to church this day?? During the parade we sing the songs we learned for a year.. When we come back from the church..we have a big big party all day until we get tired. But the students..they never get tired "this day"..they eat and dance and had all kinds of recreations. |
