A Little History...

The Boy Scouts of America created a new opportunity called Cub Scouting for boys younger than Boy Scout age in 1930. Cub Scouts is a home-centered program that emphasizes involvement between boys and their families and friends.

Cub Scouting is where it all begins. The journey starts as a Tiger Cub as a 7 year old or first grader. Then comes the Wolf and Bear Scouts. There is a two-year transition program from Cub to Boy Scouting known as the Webelos transition program. No matter the age of the child, the first Award to be earned is the Bobcat Badge, an introduction to all the basics of scouting. Following Webelos are Boy Scouting, Exploring, and Learning for Life.

Scouting is "fun with a purpose." Cub Scouts helps build strong character traits and good citizenship. We know, too, that through the scouting program you and your sons will enjoy building lasting relationships!
