They see the world through my eyes�
The days have passed, as did their lives�
They defended us when we needed them most�

Now the government just sits and ignores...
The things they did, their brothers who died�
They see the tears coming from my eyes�
As I watch the news at night, as many soldiers...
Fight and die, they wish they were here�

To defend us again, as only true Americans can!
Beside our Sons and Daughters of War!

But they can't, for they passed through Heaven's Door�
Many days and years gone by, they never held me...
The first day I cried, after my birth, but I know�

They were there, they helped me get through and become who I am!

These two men, my family they were�
Great Grandpop and Grandpa�
Two men I adore�

They served our country and did it with pride!

But now they see the Government's lies�
Through my eyes they see what you do�

I'm the doorway, to their Otherworld�

Through my eyes they see the things�
That many years ago, they only dreamed�

They did not fight, as we do today�

They fought for love and the American Way!
