Poem for Becky

She taught me how to love; she even helped me grow,
To believe more in myself and all that was around me,
She showed me not to fear, even when it surrounded me,
That even though apart, together we always were,
Even though miles apart, our bond forever unbroken.

Even with the times, that we argued and cussed,
She still loved me dearly, a sister I had become,
To this woman of big heart, and even small in size,
So much like me was she, twins, she and I,
Sharing all the things, that only sisters do.

Who'd have thought she'd leave me?

I'll miss her smile and laughter,
Even though it was just online,
I'll meet her soon someday,
But now is not the time,
Though we never met in person,
This bond will never break,
Between a Mouse and Eagle,
This love will always remain.

Vaya Con Dios, Becky,
We will meet again someday.
