| From Gods of Music Visit godsofmusic.com to read how "Turning Blue" gets compared to a beautiful woman's breasts. Artist: crushreality Song: Turning Blue Genre: Alternative / True Alternative Similar: Catherine Wheel, The Cure, Suede There was an Alternative sound arising in the late 80s/early 90s, especially from British acts, that never really saw its day thanks to the whole Seattle thing stamping out that more mellow, sensitive sound. A few acts broke through (Jesus Jones, Catherine Wheel, Lightning Seeds), but most got tossed aside with all the less aggressive, less IN-YOUR-FACE folks who wouldn't beat their fans into submission. This Track offers a delightful reprise. I can safely say that the key reason I like the track is the nostalgic factor. I've never really been a fan of the genre. But this track is a really great example of one of the truest forms of Alt-Pop you'll find. It combines elements of swirling psychedelia and 60s-ish melancholia with the sophisticated 80s post-punk sounds of Echo and the Bunnymen, the Cure, and even a tidbit of the Smiths. Emotionally deep, musically compelling, occasionally dissonant, rhythmically 'funky'. Incredible ending. Any flaws? The singer is a bit drab, even for the style. The instrumental bridges are a bit repetitious. But neither of these really detract significantly from the overall effect. There's like teeny tiny hairs on a beautiful woman's breasts. You won't notice them unless you really try. Don't let yourself become obsessed with body hair. That's so American. Download the mutha! "Let there be Rock", GARY ARTHUR BROWN |

| From MP3Reaper.com crushreality are a cool alternative band...that don't sound like Blink 182! The term "alternative" is used pretty loosely these days, but this high-quality music from crushreality really is off the beaten path. I was particularly sruck by the unusual, almost dissonant and shimmery chord choices in "Turning Blue". Fascinating instrumentation, with a visceral vocal. This tune is unique! This quartet is not afraid to take some risks, and have a different take on melody that might give you some fresh inspiration. "Collide" is a song that shows how you can combine several different elements and tempos into one song and still be cohiesive, in an 'alternative' sort of way. | In a time when angry lyrics are belted out by screaming vocalists, their message being lost in the noise of an insanely loud guitar pounding and the spinning of a DJ, comes a more melodic band whom ther front man describes as a band tha "Sounds like the Smashing Pumkins covering Songs by the Cure. |

| He seemed to be in his own little world. What I mean is the twirling of his hands in the air, a glazed look and mesmerized glare with his lyrics. You Know....like Robert Smith? Their sond is harmonic, funky and upbeat. Many of the songs played were on the deep side, but girls love that shit. |
