Ranma 1/2
(The Ultimate Gender-Bender Comedy!)

Ranma 1/2 is about a male teenaged martial-artist, named Ranma Saotome, who falls into a Jusenkyo spring in China. From then on, cold water turns him into a redheaded girl! Hot water reverses the effect, but only until the next time!
Soon, Ranma finds out that he is engaged to marry a hot-tempered female martial artist named Akane Tendo, due to an arrangement their fathers made. They both don't get along very well...always having arguments, always calling each other names, etc....but later it's obvious that they have feelings for each other (but they won't dare admit it!).
Later Ranma finds out that he is also engaged to a girl named Ukyo Kuonji, a childhood friend who he had previously thought was a guy (I don't see *how*, though. I think she's prettier than Akane). This was due to another arrangement Ranma's father made.
But wait, there's more! A beautiful amazon named Shampoo was defeated by female Ranma in China...so she gave the female Ranma the *Kiss of Death* and vowed to follow her to the ends of the earth and kill her! Later, Ranma defeats her in his male form....and so according to the *Amazon Rules*: If an amazon is defeated by an outsider, and that outsider is a female....then the amazon must give her the kiss of death and kill her. But if the outsider is a man, then the amazon must marry him!
(It's a clear case of a woman trying to trap a man.) Poor Ranma. That makes 3 fiancees for him! But of course, as the story goes, he seems to be leaning mostly towards Akane.

Of course, Ranma's not the only person that fell into one of the springs and is affected by cold water! Ryoga Hibiki, both a friend and enemy to Ranma, turns into a little black piglet....Shampoo (the amazon) turns into a cat....Mousse, a childhood friend of Shampoo's (and he loves her, too), turns into a duck....and Ranma's father (Genma Saotome) turns into a panda!
Sigh. What crazy lives they must live....
