Isshin-ryu Embukai
Oceanside CA, October 18-20
The Isshin-ryu Embukai was an Isshin-kai event hosted by Sensei Advincula to promote freindship,
Okinawan culture & to share the teachings of Tatsuo Shimabuku. Tsyuoshi Uechi
a memeber of the Rengokai (Okinawan organization to retian the original teachings of karate),
came to this event to find out what the 1st generation students learned
from Master Shimabuku. The 1st generation students of Master Shimabuku are seated in the front.

The empty chair to the right was for Sherman Harrill. He could not
be there due to health reasons. He passed away on Nov. 4, 2002 but lives on through his teachings.
