Food was plentiful, but the lines were long. A lot of the residents set up food stands in their front yards, and we had lunch at one of those, because the line was short. It was nice to be able to sit down in a quiet backyard for awhile before rejoining the fray We went into one particularly crowded saloon (I can't remember the name) and hung out in there having a few beers. This was one of the larger saloons in Hulett and, thankfully, had water sprayers set up outside. They were also hosting a couple of bands. Predictably, it didn't take long for our group to get separated and to stay that way. This wouldn't have been a problem except somehow Leo wound up with both of the arm candies, which meant he wouldn't be able to get back without Neil's help. That eventually got worked out. |

Leaving Hulett, I headed toward Sturgis alone, as some of the others I had headed out with got separated and I lost sight of them. I stopped at a little gas station with a township sign reading: "Aladdin population 15" It was a little country store with a couple houses behind it, that's all. But a couple hundred bikers were there! As it wa the only gas stop for miles, it was important. Well, I went in to look for a map to see where I was and ran into Marje again! (She snapped this pic of me on the porch) After she took some pictures of a group of seven firefighters and their limited-edition bikes, we headed out towards Sturgis.
