Tk has grown a lot from the first adventure, in fact he’s the star player of the school basketball team!  He’s become quite responsible and mature.  There seems to be some friction between him and Davis as they both seem to be fond of Kari and even fought over who was going to save her!  He still lives with his mother but they have moved closer to Matt, in fact he lives in the same apartment building as Cody and Yolei, two new digidestined.  He has replaced his green hat with a cool new white one, although Patamon looks really small sitting on the top!

Takaishi means "Tall Rock."  Takeru can mean "Beautiful," "Noble," "Majesty," and "Strength."  Cool!

Kari Has grown a lot since her adventure in the Digiworld.  She has escaped the illness that plagued her early life, now she is seen as bubbly, brave and quite mature.  She has replaced her whistle for a digital camera, and carries it everywhere.  She still lives with her mum, dad, and her big brother Tai in their apartment in Odaibia.  She and Tk have remained good friends since he has joined her school some say they have a crush on each other, but we will just wait and see how that unfolds.  One of the new Digidestined Davis has a crush on her, which she is aware of and plays up to Tk to make Davis jealous!

Meaning of name:
Kamiya means "Eight Gods."  Hikari means ‘light’!

Davis is a lot like his idol, Tai.  Davis can be short tempered and can often lose his cool but is a good friend!  He enjoys playing soccer, and trying to impress Kari who he has a huge crush on, and he is jealous of Tk and Kari’s friendship and past history!  He proudly wears Tai’s goggles and according to Tai ‘the leader of the digidestined just would'nt look right without them!’  When passing through the Digital gate Davis changes his clothes, in the real world he wears a blue tee-shirt and a brown jacket over it, but in the Digi-world he wears a flame jacket and white tee-shirt.  Davis lives with his mum, dad and big sister June.  He was a chosen child because he was held at the convention centre and brought before Gatomon in season 1.

Motomiya means "True Shrine." Daisuke means "Big Help."

Yolei is very much like Izzy she is a computer wiz and can be found fixing and messing with Cody’s computer.  She can be a bit on the spoilt side and normally gets what she wants.  Her role model is Mimi and when she grows up wants to be just like her!  Yolei doesn’t like fighting but does her bit for the group.  She lives in the same building as Tk and Cody, she has two older sisters and a brother, her family owns a convenience store (some say it was the store that the original digidestined found the tags in, but I’m not sure!)  Yolei was chosen because she witnessed the online battle of the original eight digidestined!

Inoue means "Above the Well" and Miyako means "Capitol."

Cody is the youngest of the group, but by far the most mature.  He lives with his grandfather and mother in the same apartment building as Tk and Yolei, his father was a policeman and was sadly killed.  He studies kendo with his grandfather, he likes computers and his food!  Cody was chosen as the new digidestined because he was in the plane that Garudamon saved in episode 39 ‘Battle for earth’.

Meaning of name:
Hida means "Fire Rice Paddy" and Iori means "Cloth."

Ken as we found out is the Digimon Emperor, he is also a chosen child but has chose to be evil and turn innocent Digimon against each other.  He is the current threat in the digiworld and it is him the others have to face.  He changes good Digimon to bad by used black rings and a dark digivice.  He is a genius and a great soccer player!  Ken was ignored at home because his older brother was smarter and got all the attention, until the digivice appeared, a chance to escape the reality of his home life. Kens brother sadly died, this could be a key issue to Ken’s actions.

Ichijouji mean "First Temple" and Ken means "Intelligent."
