This page is for software and applications applying to productivity. The majority of this stuff is non-commercial/shareware/shovelware stuff, but I have some legitimately huge programs here too, as well as some modern remakes/updates to older software that might keep your vintage pc useful and self-sufficient for tasks beyond just games and running around the internet. If you see anything here that you want removed, shoot me an e-mail and let me know and I'll remove it.

XING Media Player Media Player for Windows 3.1x, does various file formats.
3D Architect Plus Home design program for Windows 3.1x. Fun to play around with if nothing else. Lets you build the building core, add furnature, and even do landscaping. I think I've actually seen the handiwork of this program at a real-estate office I visisted back in the 1990's (I had a distant relative that was a realtor).
Borland Turbo C++ Old version of Turbo C++ for DOS. I got this from a copy I got from a bandmate a long long time ago. I've been slowly dabblign with C++ on and off.

IBM LinkWay 1.0 (DOS) A MultiMedia Suite "Edutainment" software for IBM's defunct "EDLan" Package for Schools. Basically it had a graphics editor and a word processor, and I believe an Animation suite. This is the program I used to use back in school to make the server login screens for the school as a kid. These are in disk-image format so you'll need something like RawWrite to write the disks.
IBM LinkWay 2.0 (DOS) A MultiMedia Suite "Edutainment" software for IBM's defunct "EDLan" Package for Schools. Basically it had a graphics editor and a word processor, and I believe an Animation suite. This is the program I used to use back in school to make the server login screens for the school as a kid. These are in disk-image format so you'll need something like RawWrite to write the disks.
IBM LinkWay Live! 2.0 (DOS) A MultiMedia Suite "Edutainment" software for IBM's defunct "EDLan" Package for Schools. Basically it had a graphics editor and a word processor, and I believe an Animation suite. This is the program I used to use back in school to make the server login screens for the school as a kid. These are in disk-image format so you'll need something like RawWrite to write the disks.
Image Processor Paint Program for DOS. Good lighteweight alternative to Graf-X II, which is why I got it. It works on a 286 or better.
JED Developer Text Editor Text Editor aimed at Developers. I got this from a floppy disk found inside a Assembly Language Programming book I had a million years ago.
Professional Write Word Processor for DOS. I started off using this on my Tandy 1000 SX back in high school in the late nineties. Nice low-powered Word processor with a nice ASCII text-mode interface.
Will Maker Will Maker Program for DOS. I don't remember where I found this or why. May have been a working pull from another system.
Adventure Game Studio (AGS) 2.3.1 Advennture Game Studio's last version for DOS. Allows you to make graphical adventure games in the Sierra or LucasArts styles. Seems the minimum requirements are a 486 system, runs lower than the original listings said (486 DX4-100).
